Hi all,

This is my update for the 1969 Brabham BT26 Cosworth V8. Drop these files in the gpl folder to install the update. This means putting them in the ...\Sierra\ directory . Do not replace the original folders with the one in this zip archive, but rather merge them together so all files are in the same folders.

For example:

Merge folder c00 together with the original c00 folder, resulting in a single c00 folder located in the ...\Sierra\GPL\cars\cars69 directory.

These files are compatible with Irridux' 1969 season update, and the original, unmodified 1969-Extra mod. If you wish to install the Irridux 1969 season update after this update, please reinstall this update after you've installed the Irridux 1969 season update for everything to work correctly.

Here are the main features of the TvO Brabham BT26 Cosworth V8 v1.0:

- new car shape
- new car textures
- new wheel textures
- new wheel model
- new steering wheel texture by Jackseller
- new engine textures
- new engine exhaust headers
- new cockpit textures based on Jacksellers work
- new cockpit shape
- changing wing shapes during season
- extra nose wing for Williams and Moser cars
- different wheel textures based on graphics version, by Lee Bowden (Lee200)
- Jet helmet for player car, full face helmet for AI drivers
- Jet helmet for online racing
- optional choice for the player to use Williams or Moser cars

Please allow GEM+ to rebuild your 1969-Extra mod exe after installing the update.

Enjoy!

-----------------------------------------
UNINSTALL:

Remove all files from c00, c30, and c40 car folders except DAT file. Reinstate original AI driver ini's by taking them from the automatically installed backup folders located in the track folders clermont, mexico and watglen, and placing them in the respective track folder. Lastly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, reinstate original 90.xml by taking it from the automatically installed backup folder located at ...\gpl\Mods\GEM+\69-extra and placing it in the 69-extra folder, otherwise the mod will not load any more.

-----------------------------------------

This is not a Papyrus/Sierra product. Use these files at your own risk (although they should not harm your computer in any way). Please do not sell these files for money. This is freeware.

Thanks to Paul Skingley, Jackseller and Klaus Hörbrand for WinMip!

Do not install the track AI driver ini files on a server for online racing.

a real Sochi candidate for Gold !

Big step ahead with your  BT 26 , Tommie . Photo rendering isn' t very far, now. And first step for the all seasons olympic gold medal , not only for winter games.

The highest realism police  detailed car ever seen in GPL, in my opinion. Parts under the engine are well rendered, and your cam cover Cosworth textures are the path to follow

I hope your update will be noticed as it deserves it .Top work, mon ami !!!

Nice work Tommie, the car(s) look great. I'm just curious though - there are a number of .3DO files in your download which start with odd characters such as "{" and "&". Is this really how they are meant to be named? I assume it's ok, because everything seems to work fine, it just seems a little odd that's all.

Brillant work. Excellent eye for detail and accuracy. A lot of research, patience and effort clearly went into this update. Chapeau.
