Hi all,

This is a texure update for the 1969 Lotus 49b and Lotus 49. Drop these files in the car folders to install the update. This means
putting them in the ...\Sierra\GPL\cars\cars69 directory . Do not replace the original car folders with the ones in this zip archive,
but rather merge them together so all files are in the same car folder.

For example:

Merge folder c05 together with the original c05 folder, resulting in a single c05 folder located in the ...\Sierra\GPL\cars\cars69 directory.
Do the above for all car folders to install the update.

These files are compatible with Irridux' 1969 season update, and the original, unmodified 1969-Extra mod. If you wish to install the Irridux
1969 season update after this update, please reinstall this update after you've installed the Irridux 1969 season update for the update to
work correctly.

Online, car liveries have been divided equally under the starting numbers, so not only the Gold Leaf Team Lotus livery can be driven online, but also all the privateers. There are 14 different liveries included for online racing, so it will be a surprise which livery you race every time you join a server.

Offline, all these liveries are also available for the player. To install a livery, please copy the respective files into the main car folder. There is also a preview picture included so you know which livery you are installing. Standard, all player cars for every graphics option have the Gold Leaf livery installed.

Enjoy!

This is not a Papyrus/Sierra product. Use these files at your own risk (although they should not harm your computer
in any way). Please do not sell these files for money. This is freeware.

Thanks to Paul Skingley, Mike Tyler for the Jo Siffert textures, Jackseller for the cockpit textures, and Klaus Hörbrand for WinMip!

To keep the objects in the mirrors, you need to delete to following files:

c05: flrm, flrmrind, flrmsiff
c07: 07m
c21: vlrmbonn, vlrmlove, vlrmrind,vlrmsiff
c22: wlrm, wlrmlove, wlrmrind, wlrmsiff
c27: lrm, lrmsiff
c28: lrm

That's it :) .

I had no trouble at all, and no-one else seems to be reporting any problems. What anti-virus are you using? It sounds like it has a false alarm.

Niki, I guess you didn't un-tick the box titled "download with something accelerator" which popped under the file link itself. That's why Avast reported a problem, thinking the .exe file was a malware application (and rightly so). Un-tick it and try again, make sure you get the link directly to the .zip file and nothing else.

P.S. - Senspace is not the only file host trying to get away with this bullshit, same applies to rapidgator and some other sites out there, so just be careful downloading things in the future.

          Thanks for this-

Would the Jo Siffert/Rob Walker Lotus 49 work as a player car with the original 1967 carset?

It would with a bit of work, but I'll give you the originals instead :) . They were made by Mike Tyler of GPLEA fame, and were previously hosted at Nino's Garage. The 512x512_Complete file is his original work. I tinkered with it a bit back in the day and gave it a blue interior and some 3do's to match. You can find these files in Blue_Lotus_49_1967. Drop the files from that archive into your lotus car folder, back up your original lot4.3do and rename lot4sif.3do to lot4.3do to install it as your player car and enjoy Mike's work :) .
