We had put it on the list but we hadn't made a seperate thread for this track. Now with the addon from Rocket and Jumi this is very nice indeed.

Here is the track:

Attached File  mellaha.zip   3.69MB   280 downloads

You can get the addon (which has the needed fixes for this track) from HERE ;)

The AI by MECH can be found over HERE.

And a new GEM picture for this track with the new cover:
Attached File  mellaha.jpg   58.93K   292 downloads

Enjoy

    Thanx Keith,  :D

Latest news on the new Tripoli beta - which is largely historically accurate, but a completely different track to the SOS '37 inspired 'Mellaha Lake'.

Everyone has worked very hard and we: Mario, Paul, Robert and myself are about 75% done on the textures that are there. The AI is 95% finished - just a little optimising for better overtaking.

Sergio is considering adding several new 3do's. Paul and myself and others have requested several small fixes to the 3do's that are there. These will further increase the visual appeal of the track and remove a couple of bugs.

What you tend to find is is that because of the high speeds involved down the long straights, taking your eyes off the road to look at the scenery can prove deadly!

There is a third 'Mellaha Lake' beta that may or may not be released which is like the first beta, but contains a bridge. I'm hoping Sergio will release it.

      Hi DangerMouse :~),

The link in the above quote seems to be dead. Is this add-on still around?

Also the track doesn't seem to include a "track.ini" file. Is there a fix for this?

Any help would be appreciated :~),

That's because it's in the addon which included the fixes. I've put that in bold now in my 1st post. ;)

I can always spare a few hours Jumi2 if you need to share the workload. Can't believe we turfed it out without AI...  Shame on us!
