My Thrustmaster TX wheel isn't recognized by Ubuntu 21.04, which uses the linux 5.11 kernel. (I did not try downloading any special drivers or making other custom modification to the Ubuntu 21.04 install). In a few weeks, Ubuntu 21.10 with the linux 5.13 kernel will be released. Does this kernel support the Thrustmaster TX?
Thanks

You can easy find out by downloading a manjaro iso, burn it on a stick and test it with this OS that has the 5.13 allready.
What do you expect to be supported? I can't imagine nothing is working...
I just switched from G27 to fanatec CSW and found the FFB is not supported but all other functions.
It cost me 2 min of "copy and paste" into a terminal and the fanatec firmware patch for the kernel made FFB work.
I also learned that this patch has to be repeated whenever the kernel is updated.
Are you referring to this info? https://www.phoronix...er-Thrustmaster
Here you can test if you TX works:

Thanks for the expert advice! What linux commands did you copy and paste into the terminal, and what linux commands did you use to apply the fanatec firmware patch?
Of course the commands I would use with a Thrustmaster TX would be somewhat different, but it I see what you did in detail I can try adapting it for my situation.
