Hello, recently I have gotten back into GPL and have improved significantly since my earlier days of playing it to the point where I can be pretty competitive in races. Now, I know I asked this earlier on, but I cannot find the post I made, plus it was for a different mod. This pertains to the 55 mod. I am trying to change my Ferrari colors to those in the SIERRA\gpl\cars\cars55\c08\Player Options\FrenchNurburgring54 folder. I took the mip file in the folder and overrode the original number 4 mip (I made a backup of course) in the c08 folder. This has not changed the look of my car, and I am not sure how to use the feature. I like the Ferrari red, but personally I enjoy a good light blue. Does anyone know how I can use these player options? As many mods as this feature appears in, none of them ever seem to provide an explanation on how to use it in any readme, but perhaps I am missing it. Thanks in advance.

why a backup you just take  the blue c084  or copy it of the frenchnurburgring  file and you put it in the main c08 folder no need to unpack the c08 file or to get rid or backup the original red ,the same same in the ferrari you do a copy of the blue fer4 of the french file in the players option and you drop it in the main ferrari file

I just tried to change my Ferrari colours and everything worked fine. Elijah, I'm wondering why you said you "overrode the original number 4 mip in the c08 folder"? I just copied the .mip file and .3do file from the "FrenchNurburgring54" subfolder to the "c08" directory. There were no clashing files, so I didn't have to backup anything. When I started the game and went to the track in solo practice mode, my Ferrari was blue instead of red. Just to check, I deleted both of the "c084" files again from the "c08" directory, and my car went back to being red.

Thank you both. Simply moving the files from the car options folder to the main ferrari directory worked. I did not think of that. I thought you had to override the player car  files in the regular Ferrari folder. Thank you for your help!
