Hi lads,

in the last weeks I have worked on this All-in-One package for Mosport. Basically, I started from Rudy Dingemans excellent work (this one) and from what Rock, Klaus and Gaus have shared with the community there.
Then, I collected some textures also from Jackseller and Jason Peter beautiful works on this track.
From there, thanks also to the friendly and precious help and assistance given me by Gliebzeit, G.Spinning and Ginetto, and working on original pictures provided me by aforementioned friends, I have repacked and re-worked everything into this release, modifying and adding something mine in the process ;)

The main changelog from Rudy's version is:

- Overhauled and corrected pitboxes;
- New Start/Finish banners;
- No armco in T1;
- No sand traps around the track as they were not present during 66-67 events;
- Overhauled vegetation, buildings and structures around the track;
- Overhauled public;
- Corrected billboards with right ads and fixed the bug which led the poles to show in front of the advertisements;
- New billboards added (thanks G.Spinning);
- Corrected ads on main straight;
- Overhauled semaphores (thanks Gliebzeit);
- New higher quality armcos and edges for tarmac;
- Sounds included (thanks Ginetto);
- New track cameras;
- Minor corrections and fixes

!!Remember to check the Options folder inside the update!! as it contains helpful files to recreate both the 1966 CanAm event or the 1967 F1 GP, and lower resolution textures for those with older machines or struggling with the CanAm (1966 and 1971) mods.

TO INSTALL  just copy the provided folder over yours. It is highly recommended to perform a clean install, which means that your Mosport folder should be free of any previous track update. Remember to always make a backup first. Enjoy!

I would like to thank Gliebzeit, G.Spinning and Ginetto for their massive help :)
Thanks to Manfred Cubenoggin for his precious informations about the track and supportive feedback ;)
Finally, thanks to Rock, Klaus, Gaus, Jason Peters and Jackseller for their beautiful updates!

A dear thought to Rudy

ADDENDA
I would like to thank my friends Greg and Gianfranco for having kept working on this AiO, for their patience, their kindness and their help. A big big thanks goes also to Ginetto who, as always, kindly provided help when much needed. Thank you my friends

Hi Leon, good idea. Actually within a small project of historical add-on to  the Can Am 1966 championship tracks  that I wish to offer by the time of release of the new mod, I still had to complete Mosport. I did not go too far yet. I mainly added a CA66 mod specific S/F banner, few MG boards (with some compromise due to clippings issues)  and realized that most of the boards actually in,  where not there in real life. I will be more than happy therefore, if you take over. I will pass you the little I have done and the historical references I was able to collect asap in a PM.

Success! :thumbup:

Great job Leon ! I find the Jackseller's version of Mosport Rain very realistic with nice textures. But your All-in-One package for the dry version seems to be very beautiful :up:

Looking good, Leon, and it's a good effort but...

I'm not sure if the mound/berm separating the pit lane from T10(White's)was still there in '66 or no.  It was a prominent feature in the early days and stood about a metre high.   I could tell you a tale regarding it that would be hard to believe!  (BTW, T10 was not named White's til 1971 at the earliest.)

There was no pit straight grandstand in '66.  That wasn't built(along with the back straight grandstand)until just weeks before the 1967 GP.

There really wasn't any gravel pit runoff area on the outside of T1 nor a guardrail.  Just grass and a chance for an errant car to run straight up the hill at speed.  Great, eh?  :)

I think that you can lose the two prominent trees on the infield close the roadside in pix #5.

At the top of the back straight after just cresting the rise ala pix #9, you can lose the gravel traps there, too.  In the original Papy release, the gateway arches leading into the track were featured in the horizon mips.  While pretty fuzzy and not highly detailed, that was accurate.

what you said made me watch again the pictures I have and indeed you are right. Sand runoff areas were not there in the track back in the day :) I already fixed that

True ;) however, as for the guardrail in T1, it implies working on the 3do, which is something that unfortunately I cannot do for tracks. If someone should decide to help me working on removing the armco in T1 and creating an alternative for the grandstands, I would be more than happy.

Anyway, those pictures are old and work, thanks to G.Spinning and Gliebzeit, has come a long way since :D those previews aren't really reflecting current status of the track :)

For my Mosport install, I've borrowed from the very many versions out there and have added some touches of my own.  For eliminating guardrails, I simply selected a blank mip to mask the presence of Armco and that properly matches the true-to-life situation back in the day.  There are a few locations where it can still be seen but by and large, 90% of it has been masked.  It's still there but at least you can't see it.  Besides, you shouldn't be hitting it anyway, right?  ;)

making it all invisible is not a viable option because in some points it is very close to the tarmac. Not seeing it, you could miscalculate your chances and get a really big (and hard) hit. Replacing it with a wired fence might be better ;)

I absolutely did not mean that!! Please, let's not misunderstand! Manfred, from what you wrote and from your location I immediately understood that you were someone knowing what he was talking about ;) I have no doubt about it and I never questioned your input ;) I only said that from a technical point of view, a fence is better than an invisible guardrail. First, because you have to see it. Second, because there was actually little or none guardrails and tons of fences instead!

Manfred, I hope you didn't get me wrong :) matter of fact, if you want, I would like to send you a beta of the AiO ;)

Check out the other sets from that account then. No other Mosport sets but plenty of 60s racing shots in there.

Don't worry Leon, I don't think it would have been misconstrued. Doni has some experience editing tracks too. I'm sure he would love to try your version! True, an invisible wall could be hit, but since Mosport is a papy track, most people would remember that they are there :). In any case, a little wire fence mip is a good compromise of both positions, mostly transparent but enough remains to remind you of the barrier 3do.

Lets hear this story about T10! :D :checkeredflag:

PS. Some interesting fashion choices in the video! :shhh:
