Errata to TvO's post - It's Van Gossum, not Rossum (just for the sake of easier googling around). He did lots of very good high-res. engine, tyre and wheel rim updates for '67s, but I don't know it these are easily available anywhere now.

It's kind of sad that a lot of speedgeezers hosted content has been lost. It would have been cool if there would have been news that they wouldn't be hosting sites anymore so all the content could be backed up here or people could personally have warning to download from the sites.
I guess that's what happens when games get really really old.
It's just kind of sad things get lost without warning.
Mind you it pales in comparison with what happened with all the RSC content :/

I'm shocked GPL has lasted this long. I always thought i'd be the last one driving it, but I don't think I can live long enough for that now.

I think you may be able to find the Van Gossum Hi-res Cooper Textures as part of what our long lost pirate friend posted back in 2010

I was shocked too when i started with GPL on 2013 and joined this wonderful community. Now, i perfectly understand that many people still plays GPL, it just delivers fun and loads of classic content not available on any other sim. GPL and GTR2 will be always my favourite

If there are any 3DO updates to the cars beyond what GPLEA delivers, I'd be most interested. Nicer looking engines are always cool.

Ah right, that's my Alzheimer's kicking in early . For some reason I mixed him up with this guy: https://en.wikipedia....erre_Van_Rossem (actually I also mixed him up with another guy, a known Dutch guy by the name of Maarten van Rossem, let's just say there are too many Van Rossum / Gossum's in this world)

Not at the present moment, but I plan on updating the BT24 next year to make it smaller. I really like the dimensions of Bruce Johnson's BT24, but it's just looking to dated to use, so I'll be changing the GPLEA BT24 to meet Bruce's dimensions.
Tommie.
