NUTS!!!  :(

No joy, Jonny.  Can't get the USAC66 grafix to load.  Below, here's what I did with the new skins.  Perhaps you can pinpoint an error in my loadup...

> copied my existing cars66 folder for backup purposes and saved it elsewhere;
> copied the new loads into the original cars66 folder;
> fired up GPL and went to track(IMS);
> got into pitlane but grafix are as per original gp66 F1 cars, not USAC.

Bogus install?  RSVP ASAP.  TYVM.

the carset need the original folders.
files are new and will not overlap with any other.

the driv66 you have put into the track folder that you will use
so your original driv66 F1 is intact

Remembering that the numbers do not match the originals mod66, so the original is kept carset.

That's an excellent piece of work, jonny'o. Many thanks.

Attached are photos of each driver, to put into your Sierra/GPL/layout folder, and a new driv66.ini that references these photos and the correct national flags for each driver. You will see these changes in the Team Info menu in GPL.

Jonny'o, is there any chance you could do a version of your skins for the 1967 Indy 500? That would be great!

JonnyA, put the files in layout folder and copied the driv66.ini into indy67 folder but when I start via GEM and look at Team Info menu have the original driv66 drivers displayed have I missed something ?.

I look forward to this JonnyO! :wizard:

Have Indy 1967 skins been done before? If not, I am surprised.. I can kinda remember reading something about it, but that might have been the other files like you have done for USAC 1966, JonnyA. :color:

Brian, did you use Gem+ to start GPL in the 66 Mod?

Yes, started via GEM+ for 1966 mod, originally had copied cars66 as carsU6 and installed the car files there, but have also tried it using cars66 folder, done usual things like delete gpc66.exe as well.

I had a carset ready for mod67 ...... but had a serious injury to the hard drive and lost all the work .... in the future I can make another.

'm currently working on the 1972 USAC with modThundercars.

Jonny,

Great carset you have given us. Now we can race on these great ovals in GPL with added realism! :up:
I have made a cars66 jpg for GEM to display when we use this excellent set. Make a backup of your current
version if you don't have a separate cars66 folder, so you don't lose the proper F1 jpg.  :)

Maybe someday the great Mod teams at the Repository can give this nice carset proper physics

Brian, if you only have the new driv66.ini file in the track folder then you only see the correct drivers in Team Info after you have entered that track. I prefer to place it in the Sierra/GPL folder for that reason.
