Palm Beach International Raceway

Started in Feb/2011, it's finally done, just in time for the 50th anniversary.
You have Lyndon Karber to thank (or blame ;-p because he let me run with it); without his initiative
and initial creation there wouldn't be a NR2003 version of PBIR.
[This is the current PBIR, not the defunct Moroso Motorsports Park.]

Features:
The most realistic representation I could muster (from internet images/video) and NR2003 could support.
The disclaimer:
The real pit stalls (30), as defined by the paint lines at PBIR, are too short to work
in NR2003 (and in the real situation if cars were to pit en masse).
Pit stalls are added at the beginning of pit road (V1_37, V3_43) and the pit stall area is extended past the
actual area used for real pit stalls at PBIR, but pit road itself remains true to the actual pit road length/layout.

3 versions:
1) default, the most pit stalls (37 @ 9'-6") with the least amount of pit box entry/exit incidents
2) purist, the fewest pit stalls (34 @ 8'-6"), but the most pit stalls possible with no "temporary" pit stall locations
3) I gotta have 43 cars (even though this is not a "Nascar" track), 43 pit stalls (@ 8'-6") sandwiched into the space available

ai developed for gtp, pta, cup

Warning: This track is developed to a simulation standard, the grip values are normal.
You are not going to be able to jump in any series machine and be competitive immediately, substantial
practice will be required to get the most out of the car and the track.

Thank you, all.

Nr2003 has mostly a Nascar oval following, with a video game mentality.
I'm doing my best to keep NR2003 alive as a RC simulation.

I'm glad to see there's a few still willing to look at a RC.

Thanks fortine!  Good to know people are still working on this "old" sim.

Ovals are nice ...for stock cars (but you see one you've seen them all).  New road courses are always welcome - fresh locations to wreck my PTA and GTP cars.

I have to thank SRMZ for letting us NR2003ers, especially RC devotees, have this little corner to play in.

:thankyou:

Thx fortine!
Now I just need to find some spare time to fire up GTP mod again (which is of course still installed). :)

I'm surprised to see the amount of interest in an "off the beaten path" non-Nascar, RC track.
Thanks to all for taking a look at it.

Hmmm, nobody called me out on the pit stall dimensions.
:hithead:
Obviously they're not 9'-6" and 8'-6", but 9.5m and 8.5m.
