https://circuits.addo...li.fr/Paris.htm - This download link is no more! It has ceased to be! 'it's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'it's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'it rests in peace! If it hadn't been nailed to the website 'it'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Its metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'it's off the twig! 'it's kicked the bucket, 'it's shuffled off 'its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-DOWNLOAD!!

Does anyone have this track that they could ZIP/RAR up for me or perhaps another dl link?

Ta & Merci beaucoup  :D

PS. Happy New Year

A Paris track??? Can you describe it a bit...Maybe even provide a link to it??? Or perhaps DD might be inclined to host it???

Ah, Paris..."Dying in Paris is a terribly expensive business for a foreigner"...Oscar Wilde...

    Caramba!!! It is 13.7MB!!!...

    https://nascarhfr000.free.fr/

So...You going to adapt it to GPL???   :D

No idea who can do conversions or even if permission could be gained since the original author of the track must not be around as the download link on the webpage hasn't worked for ages.

How did you find that link?

It sort of looks like this, well it does look like this as it's a screen grab I did  :)

Man, that looks awesome! If only it could be adapted to GPL, you could race from Porte Dauphine to Sacre Coeur...With a slight sidetrip to the Louvre...

        ...Hmmmm...  :report:

Looking at your screen grab, and the pics on that site you linked, those don't look like Nascar cars...More like WSC cars...

Is there a sports car patch/mod for Nascar 2003???

If so, could you post a link to the web page???

They are the TPTCC mod which stands for The Pits Touring Car Championships..I know why touring cars when they are TransAM/GT types?? I don't know. Anyway they are from the US Pits site, which are no longer online since the site went down and haven't been put back up yet.

Could try here though - https://www.bhmotorsp...m/download/4354

OK, you got me interested...I just ordered the game, downloaded the patches and TPTCC mod (only two files, correct? Main + graphics?)...

Now I see reference at BH to a -

"Ferrari 330 Classic mod for Papyrus' NR2003"

          But I can't find it!   :(

You, um, wouldn't happen to know where that one is would you???   ;)

It was at the Pits, but they will rehost their files at some point I think. So you will be able to get the latest of all mods.

In the meantime you could download some extra cars :)

              VERY IMPORTANT

After installing NR2003 make a backup of the sounds folder as when you install the Ferrari 330's it overwites the sounds folder.

All I do is change the name for each one I run, calling the one I want to run sounds and the other sounds_330 or sounds_nascar. :)

Also run the 330 Mod from the shortcut always as it gives you 5 gears, instead of the normal Nascar 4.

                Thanks for the tips!

I'll have to wait a bit as the RAR I downloaded doesn't seem to possess any instructions at all; maybe when USPits comes back I can get in there and see what's what...

                  OK!!!   :D

Got Nr2003 installed, patched to 1.2.0.1, and the 330 mod installed. Took a trip down the Champs de Elysee...Pretty cool track!!!    B)

The 330 cars [in 800x600] look a little polygon-y, but much better than the Nascar stockers!!!

Gotta hunt down those other mods now - the car skins and the sound mod...

Tried Spa last night, too! Almost as much fun as GPL!!!   :P

The 330 gear ratios need tweaking...Have to look into that...   ;)

Hey, lay off the big old beasties. :P
I use the 88s, they're a bit more interesting than the jelly mould 2003s. :) (IMHO)

I know what you mean about the gears on the 330, the default gears are way too long, but they're easily sorted.
I'm trying to get a setup that lets the back end out a bit, it seems to grip much more than I expected.
Maybe I'm too used to GPL. :P

I tried a gearset & tire press [and steering ratio] from an Eagle/GPL setup...works pretty good at Spa!

I also tried to put the Gulf paintjob from F-330 into the game as me 1.pta.car...Didn't work; I still had the default white/red paint...

If you haven't tried it with Redline's GTP... preferable in an old Jag... :P
The GTP-ai is... nuts! I tweaked the ai a bit, and they don't bounce or fly anymore and are doing (imho) decent laptimes now. Between 1:44 to 1:50'ish

Great track to drive. There's something strange with the tarmac though, but really great track  :)

/edit: tiny correction to help cars avoiding walls at pit-exit and better line entering pits...
/edit 2: all ai changes moved to ai_gtp section (won't affect other than GTP ai now)
