View out mirror is unusable for racing. Real life you could look around the engine to see cars behind. Not possible in a sim. How do you know that's the view from the cockpit? Have you sat in the Cooper? I think a mod should always offer a clear mirror view for those of us who like to race safely.
Sorry it's one of my pet peeves about objects in mirrors. I like to see who's behind me.
