The actual colour of burning rubber, is blue.  If you plan to burn rubber on the track, I've adjusted the GPL tyre compounds, to make this happen more realistically.

I installed this for a CanAm race @ Sebring last evening.  With me and some of my mates locking up the brakes frequently, the blue tinge was in great evidence.  Looks great!  I'll keep it installed.

TY, again.

You will see blue oil smoke with an engine fire, rather than white engine steam.  This is because our Sim uses very few colours to do several things, so tyre smoke, engine smoke, and dust from the track all use the same colour.  I burn much rubber, so the blue is made best for this.

With Tyresmoke_blue, white dust becomes blue.  We need extra colours made possible, so these two work well together.  I see newer Sims finally adding optional realistic blue smoke, after seeing our discussion here at SRMZ.  :secret2:. . . You saw it here first! :smug2:

Is there anyone clever enough to create a separate dust colour as the blue looks very odd when not associated with tyre or engine?
    Wish list item I think.

Add these lines to the track.ini file of a track you like.

This is the track.ini for the Snowitude track, it has white dirt to simulate snow ;) . 0,0,0 is black. Road Atlanta has a brown clay color, 186,93,43 . The blue smoke might affect this feature a bit and give it a more blue hue, so perhaps you have to dial the blue back some to get the dirt color you want. Have fun :) .

This feature is broken in the 1969-Extra mod and will give odd colors, so make a copy of track.ini without the [dirt] section and rename it track69.ini to disable the colored dirt for that mod.
