I have installed P&G3 amd am having some difficulty in getting my TS500 wheel to behave as I want. I have my wheel setup for Iracing and Grand Prix Legends and it works fine for them with FFB turned on, but when I came to drive in P&G3 the settings seem overly sensitive and the FFB has a strange feel to it. I have messed with the game's default settings, altering the sensitivity and the FFB strength, but the results have not been satisfactory. At the moment I have wheel sensitivity on 50%, FFB Low and 100%. No dead zone and effects reversed checked. This setting is a mystery to me as well?
I do not want to have to change the 'global settings' in Windows as this will mess up my Iracing settings. I want be able to get the wheel to work correctly using the game settings.
Any suggestions welcome? I would like to try other people's settings as I have lost my way. I am not sure now whether I should be adjusting sensitivity or strength or both. I like a reasonably direct feel from the wheel, at the moment it has a see-saw effect and the FFB just does'nt feel right.
Thanks in advance
Pat

Hi Pat,
Good to see another T500 user here. I just happen to be downloading and installing P&G today, so I'll report back on how my T500 feels. One piece of info that would be good to know is what rotation do you have set in control panel? Also, have you run the wheel with GTR2? Just curious if that feels good or you have the same issue as with P&G. I run my wheel with Grand Prix Legends, rFactor, and when I can get the beta to run smooth, rFactor 2. I haven't had any issues with those games, so I'll be curious to see what happens with GTR2/P&G.
Cheers,
Dave

I have the rotation set to 900 degree and it worked ok in GTR2. It's is just P&G3 where the problem has occurred as I suspect that the the FFB has been enhanced in P&G3.
Let mke know what you find. Thanks.

Not sure it's related to your case but better mention this, just in case.
One of our users was complaining about wheel setting problems and we found out that he was creating a game profile for his wheel controller driver (Logitech Profiler, but should be similar in Thrustmasters?) by setting it to the "PnG3.EXE". This executable is for the P&G-Launcher, it's NOT the game executable.
So, if you're setting a specific profile for you wheel-controller through the game executable, then do it for the GTR2.EXE located inside the P&G v3 main installation folder.

Thank you for that info, DucFreak. Thrustmaster has never released a profiler for the T500. They seem to concentrate on the PS3 fanbase. I have used JoyToKey to program buttons on my wheel for Grand Prix Legends. If I use it for P&G, I'll keep your advice in mind. I don't suspect I will have to, though.
Thanks,
Dave

After fooling about some more, I have settled on 50% FFB on Low and Sensitivity on 75%. It seems to work ok. It's not perfect but it's all right.
If anyone can share their wheel settings, I will give 'em a try.
Thanks
Pat

Glad you found a setting that works ok for you. I had trouble with CTD's after installing P&G, but I think it's sorted now. I'll get some lap time in this afternoon and let you know what setttings I end up with.

Please note that for linear steering you should set sensitivity to 50%
If you use the player button on the launcher to patch the plr file, this sets effects to medium. I am told that changing effects to low using the in-game menu undoes the P&G FFB changes. If you want to set effects to LOW (and that is my preference) then you need to edit the plr file after patchng the plr file with the launcher.
