Hi all !
I manage to install all mods of GPL on a XP-engine. All is ok so far and running. I use the regular installer-files.
Unlucky i have some problems (personally look and sounds i like) i need the help of the community.
With my browser the SRMZ-search-function is not alllowed (for years). I can stay with this. But i can not search for the needed files here. Otherwise click in hundrets of threads is not possible for me to find what i need on SRMZ.
I will list and test all what i found in my install and i need step by step.
1st request:
- i need the "clear-mirror-files" for the following mods: 66 and 69X
The "clear-mirror-files" for 65 / 67 / 69old / TC2 are all on my system (some are copys from my old install from WIN98SE-engine).
For the GT-mod (Sportcars) i dont need anything. I have it installed, but never planed to drive this.
Next steps are install the CANAM-mod and the Nitemod. But in moment nothing needed for this 2 mods.
Another request is special for the 69X-mod (Lotus 49b - LowWing): I like to use my own engine-sound for this car. In the sound-folder are 10 different sounds (690 to 6910) for this mod. I test to change the same sound i use in old 69-mod (695). But this time the Matra get it. So all change what i know from the old 69-mod. Can anyone tell me what sound-file (name) is used for the Lotus 49b (LowWing) in the 69X-mod ?
Thanks for all hints and help.
Greetings
Achim

Hi all !
Many thx for all the quick answers.
@Anders: the link help me. Thx a lot. This looking what i need.
I will try the "clear-mirrors" for the 69X and report back.
@Yngwie: Thx for the hint, but "Google" is NOT my friend.
Maybe short before world-end in december 2012, i will try this methode.
@rcb: Thx for the list. I will try it. In between i remember that GEM+ allow me to inform myself about the "original-car-set" and some aspects for linked files. I will try this too. Normaly i never touch the original-files of a carset via GEM+. I prefer change direct the files i need and let carset as original. But for info it can be usefull.
Now some good news:
For the 66-mod i find in the deep of my own archives (all on HD on 3 different computers here in homenetwork) the "clear-mirrors" for 66-mod. But this set give me only 15 from 18 car-slots. The slots for "c09", "c11" and "c14" are not in this set.
Exist these missing files ?

A tinfoil hat could help *scnr*
Well, most search engines offer the search with operators. Maybe DuckDuckGo is more of your taste.

Hi all !
Test the "no-objects-in-mirror-files" for the 69X-mod. All looking fine now. There was new files for all car-folders in the set. I make a quick test with an online-replay-file to have a look on the mirrors. All cars in this replay looking fine without objects in mirrors now. Only the BRM and the Ferrari mirrors looking a bit "fuzzy" at the borders. But this is not a problem for me.
I test tthe 69X-sound-file with the numer 696 to get "my" sound on the Lotus 49b. Unlucky without positive result. The Matra get it as before in earlyer test i make with my knowledge from the old 69-mod. Additional i check the methode with GEM+ to have a look at the linked soud-files. Unlucky GEM+ show only a text for the engine and not the relevant filename. Now i will do the "hard" way: i will test "all" 69X-sond-files from 690 up to 6910 one by one the check the sound is correct on my Lotus49b.

Hi all !
Good news: the 696 is the correct file. My Lotus 49b has now my own sound i like.
For clear the confusion i do in earlyer post i describe the own problem: in the old 69-mod was a change in 695 and 696 (an error by the early 69-mod-structure). So i change the 695 and 696 to get in old 69-mod my special sound to Lotus49b. Unlucky i transfer this "problem" into the 69X-mod. So i post before "the 696 is not the correct file". This is an error i do in my installation and mix too much files with old problems in new install too 69X.
After i rename my (69-old-mod) 695 to 696 and replace the 695 all is fine now.

Glad to hear you got it working. Over the years I've made good use of the sound folder you posted here on srmz, so I'm glad I could return the favor a little bit.
