Yeah, it looked strange. Maybe a lap alone would be better too. The AI were painfully slow.

After i've seen the movie i had a sudden interest to play some psychedelic music, don't know why....

Liked the horizon  and curious about the outcome :)

P.s. Next time i would use an actual driver for the movie.
The ai was behaving peculiar (as always) once stuck behind a slower driver ;)

Thanx for commenting   Posted Image

It seems that when i uploaded the first video to You Tube a message pop up said that the video was shakey and asked if i would like them to fix it :idunno: ... i pressed yes.. and you that saw the result , very strange indeed ! ... this time i used  the "PLUS SOFTWARE AVI to MP4 CONVERTER"....and this was the result in LO REZ ( now reposted in the above link ) uploaded again  ...and got the same pop up  message ... but this time i chose not to have them fix it   Posted Image ... Must have been something to do with their video stablization processing that really messed up the video sync  oh  well...  it's better now :yeah:

Posted Image...  i will post a few screen shots soon

Is this a Ring version with the chicane finally removed for 1965/66, as it should be?   That is, after all, the main thing to make this track historically correct.

Seems speeded up now. Unless you do 7.44 laps?

I built this  based on the original Nurburgring released with GPL and used updates from various Ring Meisters awsome talents... from these archives ...my regards to those who help'd the evolution of this Green HELL ... :hat-tip: :clap2:

I race in a momo controls setup simcar rig  in front of a  7 x12 foot sceen with stereo  HD projectors in 16:9 ratio combined with a 9 speaker THX  7.2  theater surround system ...wearing 3D shutter glasses and USB force feed back closed  headphones , with face tracker (open source) setup ...when you see and race the tracks immersed in the simulation from this POV it's a very different perception and an adrenaline pumping experience...

orignally i set out to make a few adjustments for FOV  and definition, to certain classic  tracks for the 3D aspect  to blend and work better...  :construct:

...it turns out that i end up doing custom remapping overhauls to suit my view of what the sense of, what feels right  in my brains simulation mode... refining them to composite general  eras suitable to my use  ...i try maintaining most of the historic  nature  of  the period... although i do use some artistic license   :painting:
...the out come of each track depends on the boundries of  the orignal  builders construction of the track...  i render , remap and tweak  without doing a complete time consuming rebuild from scratch :hb:  (as some of you will know this  all  too  well )  to expand the potential of each track ...i'd rather have that time for the enjoyment of racing      :3gears: ...and tuning...:cap:

long story shortened alot ... every so often  i  share some of these personal versions of the classic tracks with others that have the passion :wink8:

... soon i will post it here for downloading... stay tuned... and have fun ...

ps: my best lap was 7:11:18    ...my very best hotlap in another sim was 6:08:17

pps: yes... there still is the chicane  :swear:

I think the Ring is up for a mod - if you think about it, that chicane is even more inaccurate for 1965/66 as the chicane at Monaco  :punish:    ( ---> hence Monacane.)

Should be doable, but it's probably not easy.

...although it would be cool  the chicane is relatively accurate for the 67 to 69 era

:hmm:

yes...  in the Repco Brabham BT 24  ... and the 6:08:17 hotlap in the  car posted below about 12 or 13 years ago... :D
