But may I claim temporary membership as 'special constable in the realism police' ?

I am away from my books, but I am fairly certain that the Bira ERA, #18, only had one mirror before WW2.  I am not sure about the others.

As a reward for this, may I have it issued for GPL

the R2B ERA from 1935 had one mirror, the R5B from 1936 had two mirrors and should have the yellow wheels and some other details on the chassis as this one is more close to R6B, but for now and trying to keep the size of the mod under control probably will be kept as it is, if a planned expanded version is done with the different ERA is done, small details will get corrected

OK, I stand corrected and put my hands out for the cuffs, but tslking to the owner of R5B at the Silverstone Classic this year, and remarking that the model I had made of the car, Bira driving, was incorrect since it had only one mirror, he said that pre-war it had only one....

However many mirrors, please may we have it for GPL

Yes. The models (35s,37s,Voiturette) and cars exist; they need extensive tweaking, but they all run. It's the last 10% of GPL that's the killer. Accurate physics still wip. In time, you'll have them:) I'm just not going to tease the community. Bob

Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine. I'm 62 next year and just hope my eyesight lasts as well for these things.

Sorry,but we don't think this will happen.what can MAYBE happen its a conversion to rFactor 2. but it will take some time until Ben can decide it.

hm, judging by what i have seen from rf2 so far - still waiting for the .exe to be released (got all the rest lol, like all the others) it should be a killer to have these in rf2, probably with a few vintage tracks to go along.

that aside, it is, of course, one of the mods in the pipeline. and as bob said, it's drivable, but again (of course ) gpl cannot compete with the level of details the rf / rf2 engine is capable of handling.

all of that aside though, these screens look incredible and have me wanting to give them a squeeze. now the tracks look like they're holding you back


oh and a question - are the louvres and vents on the cars modeled or bump/normal mapped? modelled originally, i'm sure, however possibly bumped/normal mapped to be less of a performance hog?
