OK, with all of the add ons for the tracks you just need to unpack the files into the track directory. For example C:/sierra/gpl/tracks/kyalami. To remove the updates you just remove these loose files as GPL looks uses them instead of the ones in the dat file. Some track add ons are the complete Dat file in which case you just overwrite the dat after you have backed it up in case you don't like the update. (I rarely find an update that I don't like)
Also, you don't know what you are missing if you haven't updated any tracks, do yourself a favour and start updating, especially the original tracks. Here is a link to some fantastic updates https://www.thomas-la...chele.de/gpl/

But grego's question is not silly: for example, I will try this excellent update ASAP (many thanks to the author ), but probably I have to start from the original Papy Kyalami, because over the last 10 years I've putted so many files in Kyalami folder that I can't exactly remember (and they are from many different updates, so probably some of them are not in use anymore ), and I'm pretty sure that even the .dat file was an updated one; so in the end I agree with you, is better to always backup your folder somewhere, then install the new ones.

you misunderstud when i asked for a "how to for idiots", I had no idea what you were talking about in your reply.
Next time , i shall ask for a "how to for absolute complete idiots".
Nevertheless I did manage to to install the update and yes, it sure looks mighty perty now.
That track was always a bit "rudimental " befor, now it looks "finished.
For some reason the clubhouse bend seems to be easyer to take than befor, is this just my imagination?

you are very kind.
I know what you mean with "becoming the expert". I have in the last 12 months experienced the same when I joined a scootertuning forum.
First I was asking all the "why, where and how questions", now it's me who answers them
The difference though is it involves real engines, carburetors, jets, CDI etc and absolutely NO Pc know how.
