Do you have both "driver textures ( and in mirrors )" boxes checked ( ticked ) in GPL graphics options?
Do you have a mirror.mip in your GPL/cars/cars69 folder?
Do you have all the 10   sounds 69*.wav in your GPL/sound folder?

Yes to all of the above, except ... there are 11 sounds in the sounds folder... 690 thru 6910 plus sound.dat

Attached File  sounds.jpg   44.15K   10 downloads

Yes, I have been following that procedure all along, after setting everything up in my gem, I exit Gem saving everything, go to the game folder and launch the gplx69 executable.

I'm not sure, but it might be more important to run the 69x mod from GEM rather than hitting the gplx69.exe.  Have you tried running it directly from GEM?

I just tried it after reading your post, still no joy.... It just makes no sense I agree.... especially since my 69 Mod works fine .....

Just out of curiosity, delete your gpl\Mods\GEM+\69-extra folder and replace with this mine; then let GEM+ rebuild your gplx69.exe

Good effort ginetto ... but still no luck ... I'm thinking now to reinstall a fresh version of GPL, patch it up, install the 69 1.3 mod... test it and then try one last time for the 69 extra. One od thing did happen, but I don't think it matters... when I install the 69 extra mod, Windows 10 tells me it has to be made compatable with Win 10 to run ... never got a message like that with other installers in GPL ... I wonder if it could be somehow modifying the install program ??

And ginetto is saying to also delete the gplx69.exe so that when you start and exit GEM it will be re-built.

Well.... I did a clean install from cd .... all in one patched it, ran Gem on it ... installed the 69final mod ... tested it through Gem.... worked perfectly. Installed the 69 Extra mod per instructions .... entered Gem, set it up as before ..... and ..... AND ........ It WORKS GREAT !!!! This new mod is fabulous ..... takes my breath away.....

Thanks to all who helped me sort this out.... there was just something in that other install that the 69Extra just didn't like.... I'll never know ...... Great Job to the Moders as well .... I've missed the GPL community... nothing like it anywhere ....

CHEERS....

Looks like your describing the triangular  nose vents that were added to the later models of the Lotus 49b .. normal historically accurate feature I think..

Hi Ramoats !

Thanks for your posting. Unlucky i did not talk about this "nose vents". What i mean is the "dark and dirty" looking surface in front of this "vents".

Greetings

Achim

EDIT: It check my carset-files. I have installed the Lotus49b-update from TvO from 2013.
