Bob,

That was the first thing I checked. I seem to have sound files 691 through 699 plus 6910 in the sound folder.

I assume that you mean 690 through 699.  It doesn't mention it in the readme, but I'd think that the 69 mod should be installed first.  I might be wrong there.

I'm surprised to see the long track option showing in your GEM as that is included in all new mods and the 67 update without it having to be included as an option.  That might be a clue to what's wrong.

A business travel and a much needed family vacation kept me off the forums again.

Thanks Bob. As both versions of the mod that I downloaded keeps doing the same thing, do you think if I renamed one of the sound files to 690, would it resolve the issue? Or is there a place I can download the sound files only?

I don't think I have the 67 update, but all my newly installed mods (CA71, GT, 67F2) work so I'm not sure what might be wrong with the long track option showing in the GEM menu. I do have the latest version of GEM as far as I know (2.5.32)

I just did a scratch install of 69xtra mod (no 69 mod installed)  and in the sound folder I have 690 too. So you're missing it

Thanks Ginetto, I'll try to find it and see if it helps.

Thanks Ginetto. I tried this a couple of weeks ago and forgot to update. Unfortunately, it looks like I had the same file in the folder and even after replacing it it did not work. At this point. I'll giveup trying. When I have more time to deal with it, I may install something from the ground up and try again..

GeNiE,

This post is quite old but I just ran into a similar problem. 69xtra just stopped loading. It didn't matter if I tried through Gem or straight to the .exe. After trying about everything else, including a reinstall of everything from scratch, I turn off my virus protection. Yep, that fixed it. Apparently Avast made a recent update because it never caused a problem before. It would let the original GPL load and run but it stopped all of the mods from loading.

I've installed it for the first time today, but cannot run it :(. i've istalled it on a dedicated GPL69 install, and I can start the 69X mod, select training, but nothing happens when I click on the green button. Same thing if i want to watch the existing replays. 69 Xtra mod is installed with the carset, 69-extra physics and cars69 selected, GEM version 2.5.32. GPL 69 runs without any problems. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks,

I have the exact same problem here ... has there been any solutions to this issue yet .... I have spent the better part of the entire day reading ..searching..trying different selections..performed as many of the suggestions as I have found in the forums.. verified circuits, number of sounds.. etc, but I am convinced my install is good...it reflects the state of install mentioned above... just does nothing when green button clicked in game...
