Hi,
i experimented with the advanced trainer of the TC Mod. Also with the track.ini (tracktc.ini) of Glen71 (G2 section) to get functional AI.
The TC are announced with 7l V8 engines with over 600 HP.
The advanced trainer feels like F5000 with 5l V8 engines with about 500 HP.
But, i can not find any technical specifications of the AD anywhere
Is there one of the makers of the TC reading here and can tell me some detail about the AD.
Very interesting for me will be the car weight, the engine ( cylinder capacity, power curve, etc.)
So this can be a quick and dirty F5000 Mod
Races can be hosted by IGOR, i tried that and it works

Frank, do you already know this F5000-carset:
https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...?showtopic=1048
Used it with advanced trainer of TC, only problem was the slow starting-behaviour of the AI.

thanks for this fast reply! This carset was new to me.
So i read, this carset was designed for the original 67 cars in 2001. I did a new F5000 directory based on the TC, but it works not really good.
The optic of the TC are really OK for F5000.
Only i want informations about the physics.

Hi all !
Last time i test first time of my life the TC-AT online (Daytona67 and Trenton67).
I found some "problems" i never had with full TC.
I use an old MS-FF-Wheel with paddles for shifting. Never use a button for clutch. I "autoshift" with paddles.
- with full TC it is possible to shift down without any problem (with or without the autoblip on throttle at 4-3, 3-2 and 2-1)
- with AT i get massive problems with autoblip on downshift. The rev. nailed high to over 8500 RPM by any downshift. It feel wrong. It is very dangerous and NOT helpfull in any situation you shift down. The car get a big push on EXTREM high rev. in lower gear.
Is this a problem of my hardware (paddles for shift without use clutch) ?
Is this a problem of the mod ?
Did i understand anything completly wrong about the rev. i must drive with AT ? With full TC i try to drive around max. rev. 7.000 - 7.300. After some testdriving with AT i feel the same rev. (7.000 - 7.300) then the full TC is the right rev. for racing.
Greetings
Achim

Achim, I just tested and although the blip goes up to about 8,300 from 2nd to 1st, the revs in 1st at that speed was about 7,500, so it doesn't seem too extreme.
I wonder if you have to calibrate your throttle. It sounds like it might still be partially on when shifting. Does it idle OK and if you rev it in neutral, do the revs go right back to idle?

Hi Bob !
If i am in neutral (press button for clutch for minimum 1 second) the autoblip does nothing.
My poblem with the autoblip has nothing to do with my calibrated throttle. I know some mods with autoblip throttle by downshifting. I can manage this. Only for TC-AT i get a MASSIVE and FULLY OVEREV if i shift down. This make shift down as example at Trenton67 absoluly not helpfull by turn in both turns. I try to drive around 7.000 RPM before i reach the turn. If i shift down, the autoblip push the rev. up to 8.300 or more, my car jump forward in the wall if the clutch close.
I learn today i did not set the 3rd gear VERY SPECIAL to compense this automatic high revs at downshift.
For the moment, i drive Trenton67 without any downshift in 3rd gear.
I try some laps today with Greg. He rev up the engine around 8.200 on straight. But after i ask him about the autoblip, he say he get the same autoblip i get. Both of us are nearby even in laptimes. Greg is some 1/10 quicker with high revs.

Achim
P.S.: My TC-AT driving is only an experiment. I dont like this sort of "half engines" in big cars. I only wonder about the MASSIVE Autoblip. Never see this so strong before. After i know the support for TC is not modern, maybe i need something (files for GEM) for running this mod with AT or BT. I only drive this mod at FULL-power (GP) since i get it years ago.

I think that the whole problem is that this was an experimental mod aiming to end up with the CanAm71 mod and wasn't fully developed - nor will any further work be done with it.
Any problems like this probably end up being magnified in the AT and BT variations.

Hi Bob !
Many thanks for the time you spend for my problems.
I fully agree. Unlucky TC was never final patched (long-track-patch, etc.). I have no hope to get some day a full working TC-mod. But i like to drive TC very much. Without AT and BT experiments all is fine with TC.
