Hi
I've installed this great update. Thanks sky But outside rims on fron wheels are disappeared. There is simple black polygon instead. I've removed f1ouf, f2ouf, f3ouf mips and now all is ok. I use 16 bit textures.

hey tommie if these darker treads match the colour / brightness levels of your m4 macca f2 treads, then they should be perfect as i've matched my sidewall to those treads .
that aside i've always wanted to give van gossum's (?) treads a try but it's a matter of too many files and not enough time to actually try them out. i've also not tried out the treads thomas' has included in his lotus and eagle updates.

Yes they're spot on . The tread itself is the same as the original, it's only been darkened and more contrast added to give them a more realistic appearance and to make it fit with the sidewall.
It's actually one of the first addons I ever made .
Tommie.
good tyres
imo, the 69 carset Achille heel was the tyres tread. They look too much like plastic model kits, and would need a darker grey gums

good point pavel. i had done some testing preparing the rims.
as said in the readme FxOUF where x=1, 2 or 3 denominates the speed (1 slow, 2 mid, 3 high), then there are 4 different rim files:
FxIB
FxIN
FxOUF
FxOUT
in theory they should be inside front / rear, outside front / rear. now i'm shooting in the dark here, but it might just be that the front rim inside is using the same texture as the front rim outside. the fact that i had to change the FxOUF to get it to show up in cockpit view hints at something odd already, erm. that would explain it. if that is the case, there are two options to fix this:
a) add the 5-spoke rim to the inside texture - which shouldn't be seen like that! - so it would get you a correct look on the outside, but would be wrong inside - where you don't actually see it all that much as the rim is cut off at just about the outer horn of the rim where the tyre meets the rim or
change the tyre model to use different texture for inside / outside rims.
also there's the problem of the optional 2D wheels that came with the original mod - i don't use them, but maybe someone else does - no idea how that would influence things. in any case, door a) sounds like the fix to go for.
/edit
pavel, could you please try the file attached here? just plonk the 12 mips into the low wing ferrari folder and tell me if the rims come back - they should. and you should also see them in cockpit view.
aaaaanyway.. as said, door a) sounded easy enough for a quick and dirty fix, which is what i've attached here, hence the "shoddy beta rims" nametag these are my sidewalls coupled with the original rims included in the '69mod. for some reason i don't like painting rims, but i would need to with these. as you see some colour banding in them and that aside i felt the colour a bit too orange.
just why o why does it seem every ferrari of that day and age seemed to have slightly different wheels from the other? it could have been easy - one 5 spoke design for all with just slightly different diameter or whatnot, but heavens no. that would have been easy, rolls eyes.
the attached file includes f1-f3, 16bit only, 512x512 - i haven't tested them, but they should replace the originals 1:1. on the cockpit front, i've just tried and copied all the files from the lwing to the hwing and mwing.. let's say the cockpit looks a bit mangled - and the cars are missing the actual rear wings. but me thinks that editing the cockpit to match that of the lwing shouldn't be too hard. however i had removed some polies and introduced others in their stead (rpm needle for instance), so it's not a 5 min job. the pesky part about that is finding which polygons i changed and how. so don't hold your breath for the mwing/hwing variations - only thing required is the ferrari.3do editing which is bad enough using gpleditor
mouse
i will have to clean up the mess that is my hard drives some time very soon. i'm shifting stuff around because at my current going rate i keep creating about a 1.5gigs of work files every day :S.
the P4 skins will follow once i've found and zipped the mk2 2048 skins which i promised to upload. P4 will not include the cockpit update - that's still in the early beta stages.. half done (and yes, it's mostly .3do editing at this time, yuck).
