Well... here is a new version of the Porsche 910 without the roof. Many thanks to Ginetto for tweaking the Porsche 3do (shape) files to clean-up the look through the open top. He also made the opening more precise - great work!
Plus, we now have much better colorized driver face images for Maglioli, Siffert, Schütz and Hawkins.... courtesy of Ginetto and silence!! Thank you, so much, guys.
.... and I had forgotten how tremendously enjoyably it is to drive through those beautiful Sicilian mountains!!!
*** Hill face and better helmet ..... mmmm.... forgot the helmet creator. Maybe Gianfranco or Chris???? ***

Hi - I downloaded the no-roof option for the porsche, and put it in the porsche car file, but it made no difference - the roof is still there. Any ideas what I might have done wrong, please?
Many thanks

This update is only for some AI cars that are used at Targa Florio. Player's Porsche still has roof.

The Porsche player car can now be either the closed top coupe .... or the open top car.
(must have the P910_no_roof_v2 update installed from Post #628)
Here are two sub-folders to be placed under the porsche car folder.
\\GPL\cars\carsGT\porsche\ ~~~~~> \Player_drives_coupe
.............................................................\Player_drives_open_top
Whichever of the two cars you wish to drive, copy that POR27.3do file to the main porsche car folder, letting it over-write.
Remember, copy, not cut-and-paste. That way you can go back and choose again.

Many thanks for the Porsche no-roof option. I'm off to play with it now and calm down, after 24 hours of 1955 heaven!

The download link has changed to:
https://downloads.gpl...GTSC67__1.0.exe
I can not change the link on the https://www.sportscarlegends.net website as I do not have any access to it.
Ginetto could you please update post #1 with the new link.
Please also add a link to the latest GPL Setup Manager: https://gplmotorworks.gplworld.de/
Thx.

Hello, - in 2021 I still hang on to GPL. With the sports car Mod I find my car (all available ones) very slow against the AI ones. Like at Spa getting a speed over 240 Kmh is virtually impossible and lap times are 4:18 against the AI at 3:24 - how can I get up to speed. I face this in Sports car mod and Can-Am - not the F1 Mods.
Help shall be much appreciated.
Thanks
Niels

Hi Niels
I just tried and with the Ferrari P4 I arrive at Masta at 320Km/h; you have set up something wrong.
Are you sure you selected Prototype and not the other 2 options?
