Paddy
I just tried on my win10 and all went fine here so I took a couple of screenies:
1 - can you right click on your PRIBLUDA.INI file and check that is not read only?
2 - where is your GPL located? mine is C;\sierra\
pic001.jpg 34.72K 32 downloads
3 - I saved using file > save in notepad and it didn't asked me anything, did you use this method?
pic002.jpg 22.8K 30 downloads

Thank you for your very swift answer Ginetto.
My response
1. Right clicking Pribluda shows nothing about “Read Only”
2, Location is C:\ProgramFiles\Sierra\gpl --might this make a difference and how much “resettling” would I have to do to things like GEM; Set Up Manager and Replay Analyser if I moved it up one ‘layer ?
3.I have tried to save my change in Notepad by two methods, by just clicking on the ‘Close’ X and also by file>save and I get the same result from both -as set out in line 3 and onwards in my post above.

I think your problem is to move the SIERRA up one layer into C.
GPL will work without any change
GEM+ will need to be reinstalled in the new location you choose.
Then you need to point the GPL folder to it and setupmanager and Replay Analyser. It shouldn't be hard.
Anyway you can try to move SIERRA folder in C then go ahead and try the change to the ini file.
If it goes smooth, proceed withthe reinstall of GEM+.
If still behave as before, move back GPL folder into program files and wait for better answers to your problem

Don't use Pribluda, and the end of the race is a surprise.
btw When you see the checkered flag........the race is over.

I did a couple of checks with a retail Copy of Win10 Pro (thanks, G2A) and compared with the Insider builds: to be blunt, the insider builds were really, really a different story than the retail build is, even the Insider RTM is heavily flawed when compared to the retail one. In the retail copy, both D3D and OGL (both V2) worked flawlessly, not a glitch in sight: even pribluda was working great. In the Insider copies, D3D was hellish and Pribluda... better not to talk about it.
Maybe, it's just an educated guess, at MS they worked around the D3D and OGL platforms with the help of AMD and nVidia to get the DirectX12 and OpenGL 4.5 a solid base to stand on, base that wasn't available in the insider builds.

I'm pretty sure that the operating system isn't the problem with Pribluda. Did you run the Pribluda_PATCH.COM? Are all the Pribluda files in the GPL folder?

Well, I just tried running my patch.com and it says the same thing. This is serious.
I'm 99% certain that it ran on Windows 7 but now I have Windows 10 and I'm getting this message.
Anyone have any idea of how to get around this?

Run the patch with the GPL exe you have on another system.
That's how I did it at least.
You can ask who has winXP to run it for you eventually.
I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if I'm talkin BS here but the GPL installer comes with an already patched GPL exe so you shouldn't need to do anyting if you used it.

So you can make a separate install with the v.1.07 installer, then copy over the gpl.exe which is already patched with Pribluda.

I checked with the one distributed with the GPLPS installer and it's the same version but from Jul 3 2010 11:18:21.
