Hi

Help me please, got new Ati videocard and found the info-letters upside down, running the game in OpenGL mode. Tried some different rasterizers but it can't fix this issue.

Pribluda 1.1.2.1 Readme said:

OPENGL OUTLINE FONTS

- ATI users often see inverted and/or mirrored fonts when using OpenGL. This version has
experimental support for outline fonts which seem to work correctly. Use these options
  in Pribluda.ini:
outlineOpenglFont = 1  (0 to use the old bitmap fonts)
outlineOpenglFontSize = 12 (note that this is not point size, but pixel size)
outlineOpenglFontFactor = 2.0 (tweak if fonts are too small or big relative to spacing)

See the 1.1.2.1 readme for more information.

similar problem to several mentioned above :(
i've read through this entire thread, tried everything that seemed to be applicable - but still no Pribluda.

winXP/pro
new video card installed yesterday (Nvidea 430 GT)
before i was running in Open and Pribluda worked, and FPS was 36 solid

now OpenGL stutters - but does show Pribluda, however frame rate is poor (25-30) so i switched to D3D and fps is back to solid, but no Prbluda.

i have installed v 1121
i deleted gplc67, and launched thru GEM (latest version)

the log reads
Starting pribluda 1.1.2.0
found GPL (gpl.exe)
GPL is v1.2.0.2
GPL is NonUS
playerini is: player.ini
found rd3d2v2, attempting to hook...success
attempting to hook gpl(B)...success
attempting to hook gpl(enterto)...success
reading settings from ini...success

... THe NON-US is a curious thing tho as i'm pretty sure i have the US version :)

i've read thru other links on (bob simpsons' guide and Nigel's rasterizers, and i went here: https://www.amirkamal...bleshootingto take it step by step)

so i'm about at the end of what to do next - extending a hand for an assist :)
thanks!

ok,,,, this is strange.. but all good.
i did another log report, and saw
Starting pribluda 1.1.2.1
build time: Jul  2 2010 11:16:22
found GPL (gpl.exe)
GPL is v1.2.0.2
GPL is NonUS
playerini is: player.ini
found rd3d7v2, attempting to hook...1: WriteProcessMemory error 6
2: WriteProcessMemory error 6
3: WriteProcessMemory error 6

success
attempting to hook gpl(B)...success
attempting to hook gpl(enterto)...success
reading settings from ini...success

this time, and recalled reading a 'fix' for that here :D  thank you. i installed that version and voila~ as they say IT WORKS!

many thanks~ as always, you program guys and this community is fantastic.

First off, this should be made a sticky thread.

I've been noticing that Pribluda's “laps remaining” only gets updated when I pass the pitboard guy but depending on where he’s placed, it’ll show the remaining laps for the NEXT time or else the PREVIOUS time you crossed the line.  His position is adjusted with the line in the track.ini:
pit_board = 30.2 350.0 -100.0 100.0 ; dlat of board, dlong of board, dlong LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

From a test at Monza, with the guy at 95% to more than half the way around the track, it gets updated to show the number of laps you’ll have next time across the start/finish line.

With the guy just beyond the line, and up to around half way around the circuit, you’ll see the number of laps remaining the LAST time you crossed the line.  But again, this only gets updated when you go past him.

So, I’d recommend setting the pitboard around 350 metres or so past the line for an accurate indication of laps remaining.

Bob... you have time to look at a pitboard? ;)
but seriously,  does that edit need to be applied to every track.ini? or is there one global setting?

also.. i've got v1.1.2.1 installed .. but something i read indicates that the initial release didn't support (forgot which) D3d or OGL...
if i'm using v1.1.2.1, does the same download now have a fix?  because (one or the other) for me, doesn't work, where in the past, they both did.

thanks~!

Good job to find a solution Bob.. I stopped at Surfers 1968 one lap short once when I was looking at the pribluda laps :P. I then realised that prib only takes a lap off once you PASS the pit board man, so checking it at the finish line (before the board) can lead to the 1 lap less issue. But this sounds more comprehensive!

I am using the Pribluda version from the latest installer 1.07 ....1.1.2.1

Do I have to do a re-install then ??

Hans :)

I have just changed to Win 10, GPL is working fine, but in Pribluda text is upside down. I have tried altering the "Outline Open Font" from "0" to "1" in Pribluda.ini as advised in post # 77.
I then am asked “Do you want to save changes…?>  when I hit “Save“ I am given “PRIBLUDA“ to save,> I click “Save”, then get “PRIBLUDA .INI already exists,
Do you want to replace it?> I click “Yes” and get Access is denied”.
I am logged on as administrator. Has anybody got the answer please ?
