Watkins Glen 1990 and Watkins Glen GTP
Albacete & Albacete V2: different versions of the same track.
Avus, Avus V2, and Avus V3: same as above.
Bathurst and Bathurst OATA: same as above. The OATA version was used for a long distance race by the OATAS league.
Daytona RC modern, Daytona 1970 (obvious), Daytona RC, and Daytona RC V2: all RC are the same track with different surfaces. In the case of the 1970 version, it did not have any chicane at the back straight.
Donington and Donington Park: different layouts.
Lemans La Sarthe and Lemans 04, 06, or 08: La Sarthe uses the 1967 layout. In fact, it is the GPL converted version. The rest represents the modern layout with different modifications between each track.
Nurburgring, Nurburgring USP 1970, and Nurburgring USP 1970 V1.1. Nurburgring is the GPL converted track. The USP 1970 version is the original track released by the US pits. Basically, close to the GPL converted version. V1.1. includes new graphics and some modifications that make it not compatible with the original USP version.
Oulton and Oulton Park: same track with different name an some minor graphic changes.
Rouen and Rouen w/addons: Rouen is the original GPL converted track. THe w/addons version adds improved graphics.
Sears Point, Sears point old, and Sears Point 67: Different layouts and also graphics.
Sebring, Sebring V1.5, Sebring GTP: Basically the same track with updated graphics.
Sebring Night, Sebring Night USP, Sebring 24Hr GTP: the first 2 tracks are not exactly night tracks, but they are tweaked to look like. All 24Hr tracks are proper night tracks.
Silverstone GTP and Silverstone PWF (Project Wildfire?): GTP is the modern Silverstone. PWF uses the same layout as the GPL converted track, but with improved graphics and some changes to the pits.
Watkins Glen Boot 91 and Watkins Glen Boot (is the latter older? newer? or ??): wgboot is the original track. THe 91 track is an updated version.
Watkins Glen 1990 and Watkins Glen GTP: the 1990 version is close to the one used by NASCAR but without the chicane before the loop. THe GTP track is the newest version of the long circuit used by F1 and IndyCar.

Thanks, that helps. In some cases (Silverstone) I now know which one I want, in others (Donington) I'll get both, and for Sears Point and the Glen ...guess I'll d/l them all and see which one I want. Most of the tracks I've been using were just copied over from N2k3 with generic GTP setups added and the track ini tweaked til I got reasonable AI performance.

sears_point_old (searspt)
Looks to be the alpha version of the original Papyrus NASCAR Racing 2 "Sears Point", converted to nr2003 by Phantom
(no readme)
sears_point_night
No idea what this is except a night version. (no author in readme)
sears_point (sears_point)
I'm guessing Nascar3, searspt 99
The NASCAR course, modified in 1998, adding the Chute, which bypassed turns 5 and 6 (the carousel)
Sears Point 69 to 97
Papyrus NASCAR Racing 2 "Sears Point", converted to nr2003 by Phantom
The track has very high grip values and ai support for cup and cts physics, and was designed by ZiggyM for deltaracing league(s).
From the readme: "NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Models - 1969 (GN70), USAC - 1970 (GN70), Trans Am - 1969 (SNSC70 with GNS physics)"
Not listed by Arturo
Sears Point IR
original Papyrus NASCAR Racing 2 "Sears Point", converted to nr2003 by Phantom
Race circuit from conversion. Most everything else either re-worked or imported; track surroundings/walls to reflect a pre 1995 circuit.
Widened pit entrance road, pitstalls for 32 cars ( 31 ai ), and a pit exit lane (fictional) added for ai control
CUP,CTS,PTA,GTP,pta2modX (high grip for sportscar mods that use pta.exe) ai support

Thanks for the information fortine !!
I did not include SearsPoint IR because I never used with the GTPs.
