Thanks guys , great modThundercars!!!

I have a few questions/statements concerning the Thunder Car mod. In car setup it shows “no wing” but the buttons don’t change anything. Some cars are five speed and at least one is six. Some cars rev to 8 grand others to 9. I thought that every chassis was the same just different livery? Have I installed this mod incorrectly? The download site only allows me to download mod part 2. Thanks for listening.

Something is wrong.
All the TC cars have the same chassis and engine, only liveries are different.

It seems that in Gem you have not activated the TC mod ( GPLTC )

My GEM screen shows “ThunderCars (GPL67)” at carsets.

Yes so you are driving the 67 physics with TC graphics.

If you have one, delete your GPLTC.exe  from gpl folder then change the box in Gem+ so it selects ThunderCars (GPL67) as in my picture.

Close Gem and new GPLTC.exe will be built in your gpl folder.

Have you installed other mods OK in the past ?

If so, go to GPL/MODS/Gem+ and check you have these three items.

gplTC.cst
gplTC.eph
and a folder named gplTC

If those files are present you should be able to select ThunderCars ( GPLTC ) in Gem+


If all else fails have you tried installing the mod again ?

I hope that helps........ but I am running out of ideas

The mod has been out for years and been installed by many, so I am guessing this is an installation error.

Well I have deleted the and added it three times with the same results. And I did have all those files. I installed 55,65,67x,67sc,and 71canam mods. All work.

If you have other mods working Gem+ must be looking to the correct GPL install so that can't be the problem.

Sorry you still can't get TC going. Maybe someone else will post with a solution.

I know not many of you use this mod but here is a small update anyway

A full installation of GPL ThunderCars must be present and working before installing these files.

Copy carsTC folder to your cars folder - allow overwrite.
