I have only one question...can this be used for online races or is it like Irridux's 68 carset only for offline?

I haven't made online skin set and 3do-s for those cars. It's for offline. At least for now.

I also suppose you want us to use 64 and 65 with 65 F1 physics and the rest with 67 FD physics.  That's how I was doing them and it seems to be workable.

You don't have to worry about the right physics for them. I made *.cst files for them so the right physics is there already. 64-66 with 65 physics (narrow tyres) and 67-68 with 67 2.5 litre physics. All ready to race.

And I am glad to see that You like it.  :P

I am obviously not too experienced in use of GEM and mods....

"unzip to to Your GPL directory" - but there must be something more to do, I just get the folders in my GPL folder, and that doesn´t quite do it.......

What is the next step(s)

Thanks!

You da man!  :punk: Nice job, good to see a Tasman addition for GPL at last. Hopefully it'll be expanded later on with the few remaining tracks.

You need to go into Gem and click on carsets in the top right of the screen, you will see a list of inactive and active carsets. You should see the Tasman carsets there and just use the arrow buttons to move them to the active carsets side. They should now be selectable from Gem.  ;)

Unfortunately I have a problem. When I try to acces "player info" or "team info" menus, the game kicks me off to GEM. Is there something I did wrong on installation? I only unzipped the folders to my GPL directory.

Well, the problem is caused patched GPL.
I have more than one GPL installations and only one is patched.
I'll make new teaminfo.lyt files and it should fix it.

This must be the same problem that exists with the Night mod and some others with patched GPL?

As we say here in Denmark - "I think I will have to get this with a spoon....."

They aren´t.

In my gpl directory, I now have the 5 folders called Tasman1964, Tasman1965 and so on.

Will I have to take the contents of each of the folders in these - cars, layout, mods, sound, drit65.ini, hct65.pbf - and put them where the other files of their kind are?

Or?

Sorry for being slow to understand, but...

Regards

Jon

Yes. I think I could make the fix for the Night mod as well if someone hasn't done it yet.

Thank You Keido, for the wonderful carsets, love the skinny tires, the screens, all of  it

my league has been known to run many F2/F3 series

if you were to create online skins, I think they would be well used and much appreciated, I know we would definitely use them  :P

Well, the skinning was the hardest part of it when I made it, but I've been impoved myself meanwhile.
So, I guess I could make the online set. And as I see the 64 should be the first. :D

when i unzip this as directed to my gpl folder all i get is another folder named tasman 64.65,66,67,68  in my main folder and nothing shows up in gem+. It looks tp me like I must remove all the contents of each of the tasman folders to my main gpl folder but that is not wat it says.

If you look at my posts form yesterday, that is also what I wrote...

Yes, take the contents of each subfolder (cars, sounds, layout and so on) and add the contents to the respective folders in your GPL directory.

You will be rewarded with beautiful cars...

Another problem that i have seen but not yet studied,is the best laps page.I have create the Tasman Cup season with GEM but in the page remain the original season(65 or 66 ecc).I don't now if this is due to the patched GPL or other,in the next day i try to understand if you (Keido) don't have the solution.

Well, carsets are useing old version of best lap screen which only showed the best laps for original tracks. Patched version shows all tracks. I guess I can modify the *.cst files to use patched version best lap screen.

And here is the fix.

This is fix for the rest of the GPL layout
and it adds also best lap screen for all the tracks.

Just unzip to Your GPL directory where You installed Your Tasman carsets.

And save me some time searching for myself.
