:o Noticed the 68 track.ini in there. I wonder if the 68 mod is getting close to being completed :hmm:

I was wondering about the ´69 curbs though... I hope you have tested that the lap times are not affected? The new curbs feel very realistic and are very well done but can you now cut the corners more than with those tires?

Hi Kanzo
The curbs are actually in exactly the same places that the tires used to be ( apart from the hairpin ). This is not 100% historically accurate but we decided to do it this way to maintain compatibility. It also means the AI use the same line as they used to without the update.
If anything the curbs make the 69 version slightly more difficult ( in my opinion ). Although you do not rip off a wheel if you touch the curbs they should give you a fair jolt which will throw you offline if you are not careful.
The update has certainly not made me  any faster at Mexico  :drive:

While I haven't ripped off a wheel yet, I have bent up my Ferrari on those rumble strips.

No mismatch. You'll see your version.

The opposite works also. I run the Papy version on my server and use the multi-season on my racing machine without any problem  :)

We had some practice last Sunday night in our league and some of us were running the update and some weren't. I don't think it causes a mismatch but you may hit a tyre or curb that doesn't seem to be there if you cut too close on some corners and you are running a different version to the server. This is what I believe will happen but I am not really 100% sure.

The tires and curbs are controlled by the client version. So in an ideal world everyone should run the same update. But in reality the lap time difference is insignificant between the Mexico Multi update and the standard papy track.

Ok. I'm sorry to bump this thread after a year, but I'm fairly new when managing this simulator and I have a problem.

I've downloaded the 65, 66, 67 and 69 mods as well as the patches in the first post of this thead -and the Mexico Multi Season patch, obviously- and everything seems to be OK. But even though I launch the game through GEM+ and select different seasons the game always uses the 1967 version of the track.

Anyway to fix this? I've selected the different seasons and carsets, but no matter what I always end up in the track with the cones on the pits, wheels on the corners and the Palacio de los Deportes in mid-building.

As a personal note: as a Mexican racing fan, thanks to all of those who, through their efforts, created this gorgeous rendition of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

Hi there,
this may sound silly, but when you expect to see 1969 version for instance you are using the 69mod ?

No Problem. Great track and some may have missed it. Like me.

Jim

Edit: I also see no difference between 65 and 67 tracks. 69 is quite different. I choose player and mod through GEM+ 2.5.32, quit GPL, return to GEM, chose a different mod, start GPL through GEM.
