Scroll down to ADDENDUM for 67 solution to  GPLEA Clermont-Ferrand

This is my current collection for the '65 cars. It has setups for a shedload of tracks and in each one is included the "symetrical setups". None of the setups included are mine BTW.
Hope this is what you were looking for Posted Image

Installation:  After you install the '65 mod, it is best if when you go into GPL you set up a new driver name so that you can put all these setups there. You could use the same name but add 65 to it to make it clearer to you which setups are which. (Should you want to have different setups for your original default '67 GPL you can put those setups in your original driver folder). So if you made a default install of GPL and have called your new driver Paul Simon65 you would  find that folder at C:\SIERRA\gpl\players\Simon65_Paul\setups. Now unzip the file and put all the files into that folder.

From the Readme:

This is for muppets like me who can't make setups for their track and just want to get on with driving. This file includes a shedload of setups for the '65 cars. They include symetrical setups that I've put into all the different tracks. I made this compilation for my son and I, so it's not a 100% correct setup guide, OK? I decided to zip it up for anyone else that may find it useful.

This does NOT include any setups by me. I haven't made any.
As I said, I'm useless at it. :-)

I would like to thank in no particular order: Jim Pearson, Guru, Axel Linther, hank Posted Image), dbaldi, Charlot, JW King, Blood, Wolf-HR, fireeyes2, JnPrather, John Pickett, Dave Wilkinson, Strider, Doyt, Paul Smith, Jon Purdy, jumi2, Pierre_F, Balue, American Cowboy, PTMAC3, FedeX@MI, Welfman and anyone else I've left out. Should it be you or you know who I have missed can you pls let me know (gplsetupsREMOVE@REMOVEsmith-gillespie.com) so I can add you here; after all you did the work. And then of course the '65 mod team who made this wonderful mod for the GPL community.

   65_setups.zip

ADDENDUM:
Seeing as the guys at GPLEA cocked it up, when they released Clermont going against the norm and are just confusing, I'm puting two files here to help.
What Am I talking about? Well Clermont-Ferrand has been released with setups for the '65 cars in the track, so when you go to drive it in the standard unmodded GPL, it will not work properly. By this I mean, that the '67 cars will not work properly. This is the complete opposite to every other track that is available to us. Basically, it's unavailable to people who have not installed the '65 mod unless they can find appropiate drivers for it.

Well, what I'm doing here is supplying the standard Papy default '67 setups. Once unzipped, copy these files into the track folder. If you did a standard install, then you will find it at C:\SIERRA\gpl\tracks\Clermont . (BTW should you find that a different track may be undrivable for you, it may be that it has "alien" setups, you could try these setups in that track and see if it helps. i.e. Charad70)

papy_default_67_setups.zip

If you have installed the '65 mod and you do want to have the original setups that came with the track, and you installed the above setups, you can pop these into your player folder as you would have done for the '65 setips above. These are called original_cf65_setup.xxx (BTW, these are also included in the 65_setups.zip).

original_cf65_setups.zip

Hope this helps you to enjoy GPL as much as I do!!

EDIT 2: Keep an eye out for the date you downloaded the 65_setups file as I will be updating it every so often. You will be able to tell by the date the post has been updated/edited.

Cool, thanks! :dmouse:

When I've completed my Monster '65 Rank I could send you the setups I used, if you like? They're based on setups by Guru, Pickett, Pierre Fabre and Blood.

Hallo Bernd.

Hi Welf
Nice to see that you are improving your 65 skills :D
I'm stuck at the ring and have not many time to improve the ring times due to the Euro 2004 ;) but I hope that I can work on the ring in the near future.
Not only because it may be lot of luck if the german team will survive the match tomorrow but I will watch the others teams too.

Thanks again dangermouse and all others

ATM bringing the BT11 to negativity :)

Well, I'm not much into soccer so I don't mind (I'd watch the final if we get there tough ;) )

Hotlapping the Ring in '65 isn't as easy as I thought, you need to be fast but smooth all the way... I for myself haven't fully adjusted to the driving-style needed to be faster (I'm a tad more aggressive when it comes to hotlapping  )

I'm sure you will better your Ring time when you find some spare time to practice
