Someone mentioned a while ago they were doing a debugged Indy, any news? Love that track!

Hello, I was reading a report in which the fixed Le Mans Sarthe track was found to still have freezes

Also, it's "vox populi" that the night version of Le Mans hasn't freezes (I never drove it and don't know it from first hand).  So, I was thinking.  Both tracks appear to be the same, but with different sky... Is it possible that the daytime sky (or some mip related to it) is causing the freezes?

Cheers, Marcos.

Thanks Greg!  But I don't know if this is the same that was tested in this race:  https://freeleo.hu/we...&race=201605222

... that evidently didn't work...

EDIT:  In the chatroom of that race, Axel Cookie said that that fix was by Lou Magyar... Maybe isn't the same one :)

Cheers, Marcos.

Ahhh.... you are correct, Marcos.  Your link verifies that the bsarthe.trk file is from Lou Magyar.  I confused a modded bsarthe.3do from ginetto with the trk file.  Sorry.  :)

Maybe it's just matter of putting a clear sky to nbsarthe...

I noticed another difference late last year. The bsarthe has 100m, 200m, and such signs. They're absent from nbsarthe. I noticed the difference after training in the daylight for an online race at night.

that's interesting... Until I know the single thing that could produce freezes is the lack of overlap between track segments... but if the layouts are really the same, there must be some other things producing them...

Maybe Ginetto, Lou, Sergio, Pablo... could illustrate us about it.  I keep the idea of replacing the sky of nbsarthe and using that track "converted to daylight"...

Brake markers are the same for bsarthe and night version
All the objects of the day versions are in the night version
Horizon 3DO is the same for both versions.
Horizon textures are same format and size.
They have the same Front Back view distance

TRK files are different

Ok!!  So the idea of just putting a daylight sky to nbsarthe should work! :)

Nope,

"Horizon 3DO is the same for both versions.
Horizon textures are same format and size."

Hi everyone,

I would like to :bump2: this great thread, which has already accomplished a lot. Thank you for pointing me here, Stefan Roess ;)

Besides giving visibility to the existing list of tracks known to be problematic online / offline, unfortunately I am here to increase it with Casa de Campo. This week we had a league event with PDLR at this track with the 55 mod and all drivers (10) experienced CTDs or freezes at some point both online & offline :angrypc:

Last but not least, it would be much appreciated if this thread could be moved and pinned to the GPL-"Help! I'm having trouble with..." or GPL Request Area subforum

Cheers,
Gaizka

You are welcome. :)

Sadly I have added this great track to our blacklist, see (ENG/GER)
GPL Track Blacklist (by GPLRACER - GPL Mods Online Racing League):
https://neuforum.gplr...c.php?f=80&t=72

Quote

Schleizer Dreieck (schleiz) -> 65 Mod: Freezes of 6 drivers when using 2 servers (5 drivers from grid 2 and 1 driver from grid 1).
