Hi all.
I was looking for a movie section but did not find one. This is something which I think we should change instantly. I crawled my video archives last weekend and stumbled over some little masterpieces of GPL movies, which I almost had forgotten. The game had me again, after all those years I installed it with your great enhanced installation tool - but thats not my topic now
I realized that the videos are something really great and unique in the gaming world - some kind of outrider for the big machinima hype which came afterwards or parallel, but never connected somehow. I would like to do smething about that, so I want to announce that I am going to share/mirror/link the greatest GPL movies at gplmovies.com to bring those masterpieces back to life. I am sure that those movies are the best way to advertise the greatest racing sim of all time.
Please let me know what you think about this, I appreciate any help. I am digging for contact data to get in touch with the editors. What is with the GPLEA guys, for instance?
Regards

Good thing, I might come back to you about your HD ingredients with an FTP upload account
I have got positive answers by several GPL movie directors (J.Woods, K.Clark and durbster) and a source for 10 GB of finest GPL movies. Things get rolling.
I appreciate any help contacting movie editors for their approval about posting their videos on gplmovies.com!

Just wondering what happened with this site... just checked it out but there's just a front page and nothing else. I am sure I have some videos somewhere here but I would love to get hold of as many GPL movies as possible now that I have been bitten by the GPL bug once again so if anyone has any or can point me in the best direction to find them please let me know.
Cheers

Hi hammerpgh,
The project is not dead, I am still on it. I did not get any answer of the german GEMA for a long time, and it is not an easy process to buy the permission to post videos with copyright protected content (the music many videos use). Due to that delay and some other private reasons the project got stuck. Sorry for that, but I will get back to you soon.
Greetings

Many thanks for the swift reply Fredo, I'll certainly look forward to hearing back from you. In the meantime guess I'll get Googling for some GPL videos to keep me going

Resuscitating this thread, I'd like to develop a movie I produced recently about GPL. It's a video about a race (of 2010) of our brazilian league. Still struggling a little with CCM, but with some practising I'll improve those shots.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Thank you very much Raoni for making this video!
That was really fun to watch. You did already a good
job with ccm and the driving was also very good.
I am very happy there are still people making GPL-movies!
Keep on the good work - I am looking forward for more

Thank you so much for the nice words about the video, guys!
Soon I'll be uploading some new stuff, trying to promote GPL on Youtube For those who doesn't know, I have some more videos on my Youtube account: https://www.youtube.c.../raonifrizzogpl
The older ones don't have a good editing job, but show some laps at different circuits.
Lisha, the soundtrack is from Scorpions, palying with Berliner Philarmoniker. The song is called "Deadly Sting Suite".
