I have checked your files and the gpl67.bmp indicates that you don't have any additional sound files. It's better to at last download the ones from the GPLEA (Ron) which you can download here: https://gplea.rscsite...LEASOUNDSv5.ZIP. Just unzip the downloaded zip file and copy the files to the G:\GPL67\sound directory.
Run the GPL Patch Inspector again and check if it works.

For iGOR. I'm not sure but I think when you have used the latest GEM package iGOR GPL Path in your case seems to be G:\GPL67.
Because you have installed the mods in seperate GPL directories (G:\GPL66, G:\GPL65 ....) you have to start iGOR and use the option to point to one of the other installations. To my knowledge GEM don't give the link to iGOR when you use more then one GPL directory.
Or an another way would be to copy the iGOR directory and create new iGOR directories for 66, 65 and 69.
If you have changed the path to GPL in iGOR options you need to save it, exit iGOR and restart iGOR.

But I know that others are around which use the same technique and may give better tips how to handle more then one GPL directory with iGOR.

Thank you Bernd, for the Igor the explanation seem logic, for the 67 is not understandable because I have changed nothing and, with the old GEM,I have played many times. In any case i check inside the sound folder.
The exe that have problem with the inspector is the GPLc.exe,if you look to the GPL.exe you read :cars sound not activated in both the folder(GPL66,GPL67).I have tested only the GPLc.exe in the 66 folder for the moment also because in this days i spend my time in the realization of a new track. Is Killarney in S.A.

It's for sure an interesting problem. I remember last year or the year before when visiting Dave in the USA that a friend of him had the same problem. We just made a backup and applied the AiO patch and it was running.

The All In One patch 2.x should be available in your language too but it would be enough if you copy the sound files I think (and hope).
But in case it don't work with only the sound files I would opt for the All-In-One patch in italy from here: https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...?showtopic=2621

Make a backup of the g:\gpl67 directory.
Apply the patch
Copy core.ini and app.ini back from your backup
Start GPL.exe in G:\GPL67 from the explorer. It should run.

In GEM don't use the carsound option. Leave it like it is/was that means normally it's unchecked.

Hope we get it working :)

This poblem has cropped up a few times recently and as I've said previously in other threads something strange happened in a recent GEM update with regard the soundpatch. I think, but I'm not entirely sure, that the tick box in GEM reverses what you have in the base exe. So if you are already soundpatched you MUST leave it unpatched in GEM. But if you are not sound ptached it seems you must tick the box and have the sounds installed. It seems we must have soundpatch one way or the other now to make GPL work!! (When using GEM anyway!)

Also can I add, in my opinion multiple installs are an unneccesary complication.

It would be useful if there was an accurate description of what GEM+ does to gpl.exe. I've been surprised a couple of times, and judging from this topic others have as well. Documentation would help to design patches which go to the Options folder, and users who are not sure which options to select and what to do in each case.

Thank you,in this days I try all the suggestion, but now I need another suggestion for another problem.I want to add a collision to the 3do used for the tree of my track. In which way is possible to open an existing 3do with the 123do to apply the collision?

Coul be an unnecessary complication, but i have created, for the 67, a driver.ini and a cars folder for each race of the championship. Now if the features of 66 are made also for the 67 and 69 this work is unuseful. In any case the fact is that also the cars67 in the 66 folder have the same problem and is like to have one installation.

As we had lots of trouble in the very past (years) I have changed the All-In-One packages to include the soundpatch as well as include it in the installer. This way, for me, nothing can go wrong.

Even now with GEM offering some kind of sound patch I never use it because there are only 2 GPL patches for me:

Make it completly new with GPLPS installer or use the AiO patch  :P Then in GEM I never checked the sound patch option and all went well for me.

There was a reason why Magnus has started with the All-In-One package. At least for me :)

I had to redo my object for the collison box in 123do. It could be done via some of the editors but I'm not sure about this.

As Bernd said earlier, the Patch Inspector reported you did not have the required sound files for the sound patch. If you apply the sound patch you must install the additional sound files required for the 67 cars. Have you done that yet?

OK,i have done, but can explain me what appens if i change only the GEM in my installation?I have only disinstalled the old version and installed the new,I have changed nothing in the soun and before wass all OK(65,66,67,68,69).I have senn one thing, like I have explained to Bernd earlier.
During the installation of the new GEM ,when the installer ask for a path to gpl,if i choose my folder GPL67 i have a displacement of the button in GEM and after this if  i load my gpl.exe in the folder GPL66 ,I have this error:(I have 3 disk)base exe G:\gpl67\gpl.expath1=G:\gpl66|does not exist.
In any case at the moment the 66 is returned OK.

Francesco, we are as puzzled as you what is wrong with the latest GEM. We need to ask Paul Thurston what he changed because you are not the only one to have this problem. I'm sorry I can't answer your question, all I know is what you need to do to get GPL working.

Paul hasn't changed anything.
The difference is that the installer ask you for the GPL path and set the first installation for GEM to this.

You have to check the installations in GEM via the Installs button.

Unfortunatly I can only offer sound patched GPL.exe files which all require that the sounds are installed too and not the one included in the sound.dat file. Even the Carsound option need those files.

I had no problems installing GEM with the installer on XP/Vista but the difference is that I use the GPLPS installer or the All In One patch if something goes wrong. Only need to make a backup of core.ini, gpl.exe and app.ini before applying the All In One patch.

My only problem with the GPL 67 problem is why you haven't made a backup of the GPL.exe, core.ini and app.ini and applied the All-In-One patch to the GPL directory which don't work ? Apply the patch and start the GPL.exe in this directory. Should work. Oh, maybe if you have changed AI files make a backup copy first too. Or download the latest CPU FIX and extract the installer file and use this GPL.exe file. It's clean but is the latest one. Use UniExtract to unzip the installer.

I do work with PCs and server now for 20 years and there are things one don't have to understand. The problem for Paul, me and others is that no one has the source code of GPL so we all do only binary patching.

It would be useful for some of us to understand what GEM+ actually does to our executables. For example, my gpl.exe gets changed (comparing with gplc67.exe) even if I untick every option so there are some default patches applied silently. Also, my 60fps client/server matching patch is not applied correctly by GEM+ and I don't know why. Then there is the question which patches are applied first, those in the Options folder or mod patches?

But after a recent GEM update (for the 66 mod I think) some other people, like Francesco, suddenly needed to install the sound patch, even if they left the option unticked in GEM. They did not need to do that before. Like you Bernd, I have had the soundpatch installed for quite some time so it did not affect me. But something surely has changed somewhere?

I don't know if this is the right place to post my problem which is with setup manager;
if I open a 65 mod setup it tells me that it doesn't recognise if is a 66 or a 69 setup then it asks me if is a 66 setup, I answer no and it doesn't open anything sayng that i don't have to mod installed

Does somebody has a solution for this weird behaving?

thank you :)
