It's probably somewhere in the readme mentioned iirc.
I was a bit overeager to get me a working track and plunged right into the deep
I've chosen a small track so any mistake i make i can easily fix now.
Still trying to recover the knowledge lurking from the back of my brain about trackmaking but it's hard after not having worked on a track for so long

The best way I learned to use GTK Maker is on a good aerial picture of the track from Google earth or some other and save it as .TGA file. Then GTK maker open the image in a right direction. AFter draw the layout you change the scale value to the real distance of your track and save it.
If you don't use TGA file and save with another format you should save the image as mirror image in a photo editor, so when you open it with gtk maker it will do the opposite and the pic will shown in a right direction

I have a couple of turns where the bankement is pretty steep.
And i probably need to add a couple of traces to have a smooth curve up the bank (see image)
I figured i need 5 traces, where there's one a bit next to the centerline (not on)
Am i right or are there better ways to set this up?

I have my doubts if I will go for a perfect looking track or make my own version/impression of that track.
My layout was done and based on an image that I had rotated.
Unfortunately I overlooked the fact that gtkmaker then mirrored the image.
Since it is not a perfect oval I had to redo the layout.
But that's all sorted now

I think I used 7 traces across the track width at Brooklands, although that was a long time ago, so it might have been more.

For example monza 10k bankings were made with just 2 traces even if the real track has a curved profile. The car passing on a trace was felt as going on a step and loose the grip.

I don't think that the centre sections have that much radius that it would cause big bumps crossing the traces And it's a concrete track so shouldn't be that smooth to drive
But having that much traces means more calculations..

I made it in max, export to ase and convert to 3do with ase23do as usual. Other much more complicate objects look OK but this simple factory looks like with flipped normals.
Is anybody have solution or can explain me what the problem is it?

You did it in 3d max you mean?. I don't know how to use that program but it would be very useful for me too if somebody can answer your question, because that sometimes happens to me with 3do made in 123 DO. Maybe a clipping issue?
