About the missing file in the doZ;
you need a HSV file for the shadowing effect expalined in the doZ web page
I attach here a dummy that you can use for your track when is up to 50 sections; if is more you just add more lines (copy paste)
Another thing that doZ rtequires is a new format of the TSO file; I attach here an example so you can easily do the changes

RPY2LP is no longer on theuspits.com, does anyone know where I can find it, as my AI are pretty useless without it. Thanks.

Hi everyone, me again. Thanks for all your help so far, I have an issue now GPL Track Editor. I have finished making a practice track, and am now going to have a go at making something a bit harder. Thruxton (has anyone done this before?). Just as a bit of fun, I don't expect it to be of track database quality. Anyone Thruxton is basically one big corner, there are no straights longer than a few metres. So that brings me round to the problem. Its not worth having to manually measure out probably 50 sections for a 2.3 mile circuit, so I was going to use the trace feature on track editor. But I cant find the button.
As always any help is much appriciated.
Also thanks to MECH for the file

Sorry but I probably didn't understand you.
If you want to re-size a GTK, use the trk23do "scale" feature.
If you can have a aero picture of the circuit, you can build it using GTK Maker and then re-size when convert to GTK.
If you were asking something different, again, sorry
Ciao!
Oh, BTW look here

Ah well never mind I'll try a different track there are plenty to choose from. Brooklands maybe...
This text is off the track building site.
Centre Line
You want to make sure your centre line is as accurate as possible. There are several ways you can do this:
1) Become a draughtsman and use accurate rulers, compasses, protractors etc., to take measurements directly off the map (a photocopy preferably).
2) Use Paul Hoad's F1GP2 Track Editor to trace over a scanned map, placing straights and corners as you go. This can work very well, although the maximum image size you can use is a bit limited for larger tracks.
3) Trial-and-error approach. For twisty sections of track, it is very tricky to make accurate measurements. Sometimes it is best to create the track as best you can, then compare it with a known map, and adjust the offending sections.
At the end of the day, you want a track that matches a real map accurately, and that has a tracklength the same as the real track (to the nearest 5 metres is considered good).
Thing is I have the software mentioned in the second option, but dont know how to load a picture to trace over.
What is this GTK maker that you mentioned?

I see that is no more available to its original site so I attach here; this is an extract from the readme :

Huh?
-====-
Behold a utility to help in the creation of GTK track layouts for Grand Prix Legends track production. This program is used when you have an accurate map of your track (to a known scale) and you need to produce a GTK from it. Read everything here before asking questions!
Usage
-=====-
Start the program and use the two options in the Background menu to set up the 'world'. Then fiddle your sections at will with the mouse and shift/ctrl keys.
.: The Edit Boxes :.
-==================-
A nifty little device created by a friend. Just click on the either the integer or fractional part of the number and drag up/down to change the number. Or type the desired number in as normal (but not totally reliable).
.: Background.Load Image :.
-=========================-
The image you load can be a .jpg, .tga,. bmp or .png, and must adhere to the limitations of your graphics card. Normally this means that the width & height must be a power of 2 in size and a maximum of 2048. Some cards also restrict the height:width ratio to a maximum of 1:8 (or 8:1). Typically you will resize your map image to 2048x2048 and use the world size to fix the aspect ratio evil. For those less mathematically inclined, powers of 2 are 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048 :-)
.: Background.Set World Size :.
-=============================-
In this dialog you set the size of the world (equal to the size represented by the image loaded). It is best to have 0,0 in the centre of the world, e.g. to have West,South at (-1000,-1000) and Width,Height as (2000,2000) to set East,North at (1000,1000). Obviously your world will be a different size.
...
.: Rescale :.
-===========-
Pointless if you get the scaling right at the beginning but quite useful if you need to rescale the world. Just set the edit box to the desired length and hit Ok.

I've started work on Llandow, a simple welsh track with fairly boring scenery (easy for a novice to make ) and I was chekcing that all was working and I was about to take it out for spin, but trk23doz came up with this error message.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Big mismatches at the S/F line give error in trk23doZ
Plus, are you sure to give an altitude to the grass?
Do you have a type 10 wall at the end in every section before a type 20xx wall?
Is the first wall in every section a type 20xx with elevation?
I see that you have 4 walls per section so there must be at least one missing
