66_Patch_v2.0

enables -

1/ Use of long tracks so that you can run Targa, IoM etc.

2/ Revised collision detection.

3/ Extra car liveries for Coopers at Monaco, new Brabham dashes, other car updates and fixes.


IMPORTANT NOTE 1
It is ESSENTIAL to remove the gpl66 folder from mods/gem+ before installing this version.

NOTE 2
You may lose previously recorded lap times from your 66 player.ini .
To overcome this, make a backup of your 66 player.ini and paste in the lap times after installing the patch and rebuilding gplc66.exe.

NOTE TO BETA TESTERS
If you have a previous long track option in Gem+ do not check the long track option box for new 66 or 65
because long track support is already built into these versions.


INSTALLATION

A full working version of 66mod must already be installed before installing this update.

Run the installer.
Check the install path. The default install path is C:\Sierra\GPL.
IF YOUR GPL INSTALL HAS A DIFFERENT PATH YOU MUST CHANGE THE PATH WHEN PROMPTED.

Remove gplc66.exe and rebuild with Gem+

1/ Il permet l'utilisation de circuits longs tel que Targa Florio, IoM etc.

2/ La gestion des collisions a été améliorée (Collision box)

3/ Contient des correctifs et améliorations pour les voitures. Une Cooper spécifique à Monaco, de nouveaux tableaux de bord Brabham, etc...



NOTE 1
IMPORTANT! Il est indispensable de supprimer le dossier "gpl66" dans mods/gem+ avant l'installation du patch

NOTE 2
Sauvegardez votre(vos) player66.ini, car vous risquez de perdre vos meilleurs temps. Il suffira de l'installer à nouveau à la fin des opérations.

NOTE AUX BETA TESTEURS
Si vous avez des versions antérieures, l'option "Long Track" ne doit pas être cochée dans GEM+ car elle est incluse dans le nouveau patche et peut causer un disfonctionnement de GPL.


INSTALLATION

Une version complète du Mod66 doit être intallée avant de lancer l'installateur de ce patche.

Exécutez le programme d'installation.
Vérifiez le chemin d'installation. Le chemin d'installation par défaut est C: \ Sierra \ GPL.
SI VOTRE INSTALLATION GPL A UN CHEMIN DIFFERENT, VOUS DEVEZ LE CHANGER A L'INVITE.

Supprimez gplc66.exe et lancer GEM+ afin de le reconstruire.

3/ Verschiedene Auto Updates und Fehlerbehebungen, u.a. extra Auto "liveries" für den Cooper in Monaco, neue Brabham "dashes".


WICHTIGER HINWEIS 1
Es ist essentiell den gpl66 Ordner aus mods/gem+ zu löschen, bevor diese Version installiert wird.

HINWEIS 2
Frühere gespeicherte Rundenzeiten der 66er player.ini können verloren gehen.
Um dies zu vermeiden, mache eine Sicherung deiner 66er player.ini und kopiere die Rundenzeiten nach der Installation des Patches und Neuerstellung der gplc66.exe (durch Beenden von GEM+) wieder hinein.

HINWEIS FÜR BETA TESTER
Falls du eine frühere Version der Long Track Option in GEM+ hast, setzte nicht den Haken für die Long Track Option in GEM+ für die neue 66er oder 65er Version, denn die Unterstützung für lange Strecken ist bereits in diese Versionen implementiert.


INSTALLATION

Eine komplett funktionierende Version des 66 Mod muss installiert sein, bevor dieses Update installiert wird.

Führe den Installer aus.
Überprüfe den Installationspfad. Der Standardpfad ist C:\Sierra\GPL.
FALLS DEINE GPL INSTALLATION EINEN ANDEREN PFAD HAT, MUSST DU DEN PFAD ÄNDERN WENN DU DAZU AUFGEFORDERT WIRST.

Entferne die gplc66.exe und erstelle sie mit GEM+ (durch Beenden von GEM+) neu.

66mod Patch v2.0

Este patch incluye:

1/ el uso de pistas largas, de forma que Ud. va a poder manejar en la Targa Florio, IOM, etc.;

2/ detección de colisiones revisada;

3/ pinturas adicionales para los Coopers en Mónaco, nuevos tableros para los Brabham, otras actualizaciones para los autos y correciones.

NOTA 1 - IMPORTANTE
Es ESENCIAL remover el directorio \gpl66 ubicado en \Mods\GEM+ ANTES de instalar esta versión.

NOTA 2
Ud. puede perder los tiempos de vuelta previamente registrados en su player.ini para el modo 66.
Para evitar esto, haga un backup de su plac66.ini y pegue en el mismo los tiempos de vuelta anteriores a la instalación de este patch, después de ejecutar esa instalación y de la reconstrucción del gplc66.exe.

NOTA a los BETATESTERS
Si Uds. tenían la opción "Long Track Support" activada antes de la instalación de este patch, NO la activen para los nuevos patches para los modos 65 y 66 dado que el "Long Track Support" esta incluído dentro de ambos patches.

INSTALACIÓN
Una copia completa del modo 66 debe estar instalada ANTES de aplicar esta actualización.

a. ejecute el instalador del patch;
b. verifique el directorio donde esta instalado el GPL, por defecto C:\Sierra\GPL. SI SU INSTALACIÓN DE gpl ESTA EN UNA RUTA DIFERENTE, UD. DEBE CAMBIAR LA RUTA CUANDO EL INSTALADOR LO REQUIERA.
c. borre el gplc66.exe y deje que GEM+ lo reconstruya.

NOTA IMPORTANTE 1
E' essenziale rimuovere la directory gpl66 da GPL\mods\gem+ prima di installare questa versione.

NOTA 2
Potreste perdere i tempi precedentemente registrati nel vostro 66 player.ini.
Per evitarlo, fate un backup del vostro 66 player.ini e copiatevi i tempi sul giro dopo aver installato la patch ed aver ricreato il file gplc66.exe.

NOTA PER I BETA TESTERS
Se avete una long track patch nelle opzioni di GEM+, ricordatevi di deselezionarla per i nuovi 66 o 65 MOD
poichè la patch è già inclusa in queste versioni.


INSTALLAZIONE

E' necessario aver preinstallato una versione completa del 66MOD prima di installare questo aggiornamento.

Fate partire l'installer.
Controllate il percorso d'installazione. Di default è C:\Sierra\GPL.
SE LA VOSTRA INSTALLAZIONE DI GPL HA UN PERCORSO DIVERSO, DOVETE CAMBIARE IL PERCORSO ADESSO.

Rimuovete gplc66.exe e ricreatelo con GEM+

Just wondering though if this will change the AI files /behaviour as well.

There were some definite problems with the 65 Patch in this area; so just in case chaps, should we back up our current 66 AI files to be safe, and if so, apart from gpl_ai.ini, which files to back up, in all?

You could install the patch to a temp folder and check what lp files are being installed. If they are different to what you already have you could back up your originals just in case.

Yes I did. Also deleted gpl66c.exe file.

Edit. No, I deleted the cars66 folder. Should do C:\SIERRA\gpl\Mods\GEM+\GPL66 folder. Still CTD. Will reinstall orig 66mod and try again.
