Added a couple of newer releases to the first post.

Zwiss did a convert of GPL's version of Watkins Glen and it's pretty nice.

Motorfx, Ken, converted GPL's Silverstone 67.  0.9 version, not perfect, but nice to have this track available.

cheers,
steve

Hi guys, first posting on the forum... can´t wait to write fast and go back to P&G race a bit before F1 friday practice... (: BTW, its fun to drive on Abu Dhabi with P&G cars!

I´m wondering here, there is no Monza 67 for GTR2? It was one of my favorite tracks on GPL and it also had the banking (but not habilitated for GPL), guess not a big problem to make it work.
I got the Brianza track, its fun, but has the damned chicanes...

Also someone mentioned Monaco, GPL also have Monaco in 67 shape, great track (even with the chicane at the Port!)

I have no idea how hard is to convert one of these tracks, but since there are some of GPL tracks around, I guess its doable...

Another track that could be in the list is this:

https://www.nogriprac...hp?filenr=11050

Interlagos 1979. It´s the old track with its 8km as it was before being defaced for modern F1. It has curbs, something not existing in the 60s, and also the pit exit is like it is now, while in the past it was right on the main straight, before Turn 1. But its a great track, fun to drive, all kind of curves and no chicanes! (:

Thanks Overtake and welcome to the forums.  I've corrected Silver 79 to show the esport link.

I agree with you on the old GPL tracks and I wish we had more of them.  It's not a bunch of work to do a rough conversion, but to get a GPL track up to anywhere near GTR2 standards, it takes  a lot of time and effort.  There are some rFactor converts of Monaco 67 and Monza 67, but they're pretty rough.
cheers,
steve

I think a good addition would be Lienz24h. It's a very demanding and dangerous track located in the Austrian Alps with serpentines and lots of up and downhill sections. 5.07 miles long.
And one of the best grafics in GTR2.

Not a real track but if you fancy a hillclimb with steep cliffs :). Timing works on 'Rally':

It's too bad that GTR2 engine makes usually so lousy simulation of those stone surfaces.  It just feels like it's just a skin painted over tarmac. I bet if you tried to "edit" the track (inch by inch) to simulate "Roman roads" it would result in an unplayable track (too big? too fps-heavy?). Pity.

Col de Joux may not be a *period* track.  But otherwise it is a fine addon.  We even have TIMETRIALS for it here (for v2.1)
I like tracks that have lots of ups and downs, twists and turns.  Like NS, Rally China and naturally Joux too ;)

True indeed, I too was surprised by the 'flatness'. It's a total different story in the GTL version(2 layouts). There you feel the roman road very good, extremely bumpy and my force feedback gives me a heavy handmassage on this part of Lienz + it is twice as slippery. But as you said it is also very hard on the frames, most of the people have huge fps breakdowns in GTL version.

Edit:

How about Bathurst?
https://www.pilsbierb...id,523/lang,de/

I will take a look to see if this has the same problem as the version on NG.

Thanks guys.  I added Lienz (but I too wish the cobblestones weren't flat), Col de Joux Plane, and Bridgehampton 67 (how did I miss that?).

I've intended to put a Bathhurst version up, but I'm not sure of the best one.  Let me know and I'll add it.

cheers,
steve  :)

hi,
here's an obvious, and probably stupid question...how doable is it to make the new Targa Florio for GPL available for the Power and Glory mod?  personally I would love it...am I dreaming?

                                                                thanks,
                                                                John

PS I've said this before....thanks so much for Power and Glory...it's the ultimate IMO

Yesterday I took a spin on the 'new' old style Bathurst conversion for GTR2. Works very well with the PnG cars  :3gears:

https://www.nogriprac...hp?filenr=23957

@traveler501

I'm not sure if the creator would give permission for a conversion at all + the amount of data for one track could be a problem in GTR2.
