I'm suffering from tearing too, but I don't see a v-sync line in my gpl core.ini.
Please could someone tell me if/where I can add it in, and what to type?

This requires a bit of testing, but at least with the new rasterisers there is an option to enable vsync in GEM+. Click the "Rasterizer" button when you have either of the new rasterisers selected and select the "enable vsync" checkbox. Other than that, your video card driver should have an option to force vsync on. Nvidia control panel has that option which can be configured per each application.

Okay, thanks brr  :)
I'm pretty sure I am still using the rasterisers that came with the 2004 demo, so that will be why there is not any option to activate it. I will try forcing it with ATI tray tools, and if that doesn't work then give some new rasterisers a go.
Thanks again  :)

Using the 60 FPS mod with the 66 cars at Monza 10K my FPS drops to around 40 when near the pit area. Is this because my PC is rubbish or something else!??

Your PC is not necessarily rubbish  :P but that area has always been one of the heaviest on any GPL track out there.

It's working for me. Try it again, maybe you just timed it when everything was coming back online or something

I'm using 60 fps v2, but people seem to say v1 is better for AI.

is this correct?

Hi Bingo

Whilst I don't race the AI, if you do want to do so then v1 of the 60fps patch is the one you want to be using.

Some more info can be found relating to this patch on these threads

Thanks for the quick reply!   :D now I can race the AI in smooth 60fps. :)

Edit: just tried it and the FFB is so much better!
The car tells you exactly what it is doing and your inputs are used more quickly (lockups look even cooler now, and can be corrected more easily on-the-fly). Great!
