Why there are no program covers or map for all the latest tracks ?

Some of them were done by BAPOM.
The others by me are done "trying" to follow his footsteps.

Hi,

Lately, all the track download links ("Get track" button) are broken and lead straight to the main page here https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/index.php?showtopic

I think it's been like that for at least a month.

Hmm.  Not here.  I get directed to the appropriate track thread.  You may need to be logged in to SRMZ - and I have it set to "remember me"

That's not it Bob.  But you're right, some of them do work.

It's just that MOST of the tracks we used recently had that link problem.

Try with these, for example:

Bray'd Hill
Bremgarten
Buenos Aires  1967 (ba15)
Donnybrooke 1971
Sebring SC  1964
Willow Springs

Tried to "get track" for all those tracks you listed and they all went to the proper download page.
No problems here

Well, they don't from here.

I guess the problem is just for me but it's really strange and I don't understand it.

[edit]

Just going through all the "Bs", at first, B&Wwerk gave me the problem and later, it worked.
The tracks that didn't work before started working just now.

Very strange...

Thanks for the feedback.

Downloading a setup takes a long time at the moment. After clicking onto a download link (where the little counter window opens) it takes something like 3 minutes here till the download starts.

The link of the GPLTD for the Usui track
https://gpltd.bcsims.com/?sbtd=usui
does not work.
It should be https://pb21.autosimsport.net/

Stefan,
that means you don't have admins rights yet :(
Bill said he was going to fix it last time he was around...

Sorry to be a pain, but I'd just like to point out a slight bug with the Track Database. It seems that the track directory names listed for "Killarney v1" and "Killarney v2" have somehow been swapped around. "Killarney v1" should have the directory name "killarne", and "Killarney v2" should have the directory name "killar67".

I think this might also explain why the incorrect version of Killarney has been included in the GPLRank TotalRank. The version that's included is the old version (v1) of the track, which has the "tramlines" problem. The updated version (v2), release by francesco here https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...01 has not been included.

Also, if you go to the GPLRank "multiple choice hell" feature, there's only an entry for "Killarney v2 1967", but this is incorrect. The times that are listed are in fact for Killarney v1! There doesn't seem to be any entry for "Killarney v1" at all.

It would be great if someone (hello Ed if you're still here!) could have a look at this and perhaps correct it? Thanks a lot!

Killarny was one of the first tracks I tried in GPL, and I thought I was being extra-rubbish. Was very relieved to discover the tram lines were a known issue. Turns out I wasn't (quite) as rubbish as I thought.

I also found recently about it. Interestingly enough, this was already reported by MLGathome a year ago in the topic for the new track :report:

ginetto also suggested to name the tracks differently:

This second version of the track probably should have been called Killarney 67 instead of Killarney v.2 to start with.

In my case, I would like to ask for Killarney (v1) to be tagged as beta again instead of final, leaving that only for Killarney (v2) 1967.

Cheers,
Gaizka

You guys need to contact Bill since he is around these days after the HD replacement; he's is the only one that can change the data at the Track Database.

Well, this has changed meanwhile. Bill has given me admin rights for the GPLTD.

What exactily needs to be changed? Just the names, or also the track programs and maps and also track specific entries?
I am not sitting in front of my race PC atm to check.
I would fix it this weekend.

Killarney v1 from 2009
directory : killarne
track name short: Killarney
call this Killarney, not Killarney v.1 1967

Killarney v2 from 2015
is another track
directory: killar67
track name short: Killar67
call this Killarney 1967 not Killarney v.2 1967

You can add in the comments that killarney was the first track from Francesco Molteni
and that killarney 1967 came to fix some issues from the older version.
Tracks are both final so you can leave the beta out; I think that with the changes above it shouldn't be an issue anymore. :)

Thanks to Gaizka for the reminder.

Thank you.
Done, but the title does not look that much different than the 2009 version. It also shows 1967 as I have to enter the "Year of Race" in the database.
Shall we leave it like this?

I see King Raceway below it does not have any year in the title.
You should take away one 1967 for both of the tracks (if you cannot take away 1967 from the first one, then put another year, I would put 2009 as the date of the build)  and in the comment :

of Killarney delete the last phrase : "See Killarney 1967 (released 2015) for some fixes."
and in Killarney 1967, delete the first phrase "Killarney was the first track of Francesco Molteni."

They are 2 different tracks and one should drive one or the other depending how he likes it :)

I hope this means that Killarney V2 with the tramlines bug fix will be included in the TotalRank? :crossfingers: I think referring to the two tracks as "v1" and "v2" would prevent a lot of confusion, together with retaining the text description as shown in your link Stefan. After all, they are the same track, and the main reason Francesco released the second version was to fix the tramlines.

A couple of problems I have noticed with the Alt-TD.

1) Tucuman track s.b. Argentina (currently country is Argentinia)

2) If I do an advanced search for Australian tracks, for some reason it does not return Phillip Island.  But if I search for trackname="island" then it is found. Phillip

I added "v1" and "v2" to prefent confusion. Looks more logical to me.

1) Fixed
2) Works for me. Did you set the "Limit" of displayed tracks higher than the default "10"? When I set it to "All" I can see all Australian tracks inluding Phillip Island  1967 (pi67).

Edit: I have also updated all "Get Track" links of Polar Blue 21 tracks on the GPLTD to https://pb21.autosimsport.net/
