Accidentally I found a few Varosliget race images today on Fortepan.hu (Hungarian photo archive).

Caption says they were photographed during Budapest Grand Prix in 1963!

When many years ago, Gabo started to make this track for GPL, we had nothing but a track layout and a very short clip from a 1955 race... I will try to investigate what cars entered this international event in 1963.

It's not the aforementioned 1963 Formula Junior race, but a Lotus Cortina event from 1964 -- still a great footage from the track.

Compare this to Hungaroring prices in 2020
Race day "Gold 3" tribune: 92.000 forints, for children: 6800 forints.
General admission race day: 27.000 forints, for children: 0 forints. !!!
