[ACHIM KRAFT]

Hi all !

With the help from SRMZ (Keith and Bill) i will continue my work to resized and packing new all the 66er-car-folders (including all subfolders, so everyone can quick use the folder by save the old one from original-installation outside, delete the original-folder and copy and past my new packed folders in the installation) for using by users with low-end-PC, loading-time problems or (like me) with the "stone-old" Voodoo-Graphic-Card.

I have the fist folder ready for the SRMZ: "c17" with the Cooper.

All other resized folders (from "brabham" to "c16") are allready on the relevant RSC as zip for download:

So my adventure continued on SRMZ with the "c17".

P.S.: Rémy post on RSC improved 3D-wheels for 3 cars. For the "c18" too. This new wheels are not in my folder.
But, this new wheels are great looking. So, please, grab this on RSC. A first quick check of Rémy's files, they looks o.k. for Voodoo-user.

Thanks for all the work for this Achim, Im going to try this on my gpl build/race box, it also uses the voodoo5, just have not found anything that looks better.
This will be great to have so I can continue to use that machine instead of the newer one.

Good to here i am not the last user on world to have the glorius Voodoo5500 running.

Ask for any files you need for your PC.

I have allready running ca. 450 tracks without massive problems and the following mods (car-files) 65 / 65N / 67 / 67N / 69 (part2 graphic on part3 physik) / TC-part1 / TC-part2).

Please ask for any files you need or you have problems. I am happy can help.

The 66er-resizing-project will complete in 1 or 2 weeks.

EDIT: Found 3 files in the "eagle"-folder with too many subimages. I make correct files with normal numbers of subimages to prevent user from freezes and other problems.

Hi all !

Hurray, my resizing work on 66er-mod is done !!!!!!!!!!!!

Resized all mip's to max. 256x256. All in all i reduce the complete 66er-mod from 817 MB to 492 MB.

The last folder on my resizing-66er-mod-project is ready. It is the "murasama"-folder.

P.S.: Now all folder are ready, only testing on my old Voodoo5500-system is to do. I will report!

Thanks also for all the creators of the 66er-mod and the allowing of resizing and uploading the new folders.

Every error in my resizing files are doing by me. Please report any problems, i will repair quick.

Hi Bill !

I will also test this weekend (saturday or sunday). I will have today a league-race with the new patched TC's first.

Please let me now about the result of your testing. And please report every error in my files.

All in all i can uploading the complete 66er-car-folders as a single zip (141 MB; including 19 car-folders) including all the subfolders (2D_helmet / 2D_Wheels). Installing the complete mod first (for the complete mod with all structures) and change the folders with my resizing folders.

Achim, we started working on the V1.1 version of the installer.
I can send you a folder with the added/changed files so that you can view them and maybe edit them.
And for sure I would love to take the final version then from you and create the installer so that the people can decide if they want to download the full or the light ones if you would allow this

Thanks for your post.

Some improvements and fixes are allready integrated in my resized folders.

From RSC i download the steering-wheel-fix for some cars (repair black square), the alternative improved 3D-wheels (c08, c13, c18) and corrections on eagle subimages done by me. So most of offical corrections are in the low-set done.

But i am interested to see further improvements done by you. Can you send me a PN with a link ? My e-mail adress is limited to 4 MB.

The mod-crew (Tommie van Ostade, Rémy Roesz) give me persission to resizing the car-folders and upload on RSC (or on SRMZ). I will ask for integrating my resized files in your new 66er-mod-installer as an option.

For complete check of my work i can upload it for you as a single zip (complete functional 66er folder-structure). The file is ca. 114 MB. Please give me an answer, you will. I can upload the zip via sendspace and PN you the link.
