Thank you for your post.

The base-work for the list i do some years ago for using myself.

Now, i think all GPL-driver can have a chance to learn a bit of the key-assignments for more fun and /or control on GPL. I am glad it helps anyone.  

I league-member give me some further hints for the shift+v and the v camera-movement: ctrl+v is the "home"-key, back to the own cockpit.  

I hope the list will growing. All tips are welcome. I will update the list from time to time.

I remember once I was able to control the replay speed with a key (up arrow, kp8) and get a slow motion mode. First touch sets the speed to 50%, 25%, 12.5% until a frame to frame progress.

Nice finding. I will test it today i am at home on my computer.

In the moment i use my numpad for replay-speedcontrol in the following ways:

- numpad 5 = start replay on normal speed / stop replay

- if replay is running (on normal speed), hold "shift" and press "numpad 6" one time, you get replay forward at 2 x speed, and so on .....  This will go up in sigle multiplications 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 to 16 x speed forward

- the same will go with peplay running 1 x backwards (activated with mouse on screen), then hold "shift" and press "numpad 4" 1 time, you will get 2 x speed backwards, and so on ....... up to 16 x speed backwards

- stop multiple speed is simply pressing "numpad 5" one time

This way to control the speed is very comfortable for checking bigger replays, or complete races.

If replay is on pause, for half speed forward i hold "shift" and press "numpad 6" permanent, or use for single step pictures by hold "shift" and press "numpad 6" one time for each picture. This is similar for backward with "shift" and "numpad 4".

For jump to begin of replay or jump to end of replay i use "shift" and "numpad 7" (pos1) or "shift" and "numpad 1" (end).


Most of the time i don't think much by using this fuctions. I train it for myself over the years as a more comfortable way then use the mouse for this. And some functions (single pictures) are only with keyboard.

EDIT: My keyboard is left from my wheel (wheel is in the center of the monitor) and my mouse is on right side. So i can operate easy with a combination of both to control replays.

Hello Everyone,

I have just got GPL and love it. I have put on many add ons but cant work out one thing. How do you pause the game??? I have looked at the key functions but it says press pause to pause. Where is the pause button??

Please help as this will make the game more enjoyable for me.

Hi !

Maybe my description is a bit short. Sorry, it is only a short overlook.

So here is the loooong version for the "pause"-modus:

First:
Only in mode "Championship", "Training" and "Single Race" is "pause" possible. For "Multiplayer" (including all ONLINE) there is no "pause"-mode.

Second:
There are a key on every keybord near the "print" and the "roll" keys named "pause/break" (sorry i must translate my german keybord to english    ). This methode will "pause" the sim in ALL situation (including driving full speed, etc.). Leave the "pause"-modus by hit the key again or go out of modus with "esc". Sitting in pit and looking on the screen there is a "pause" too for hitting with the mouse (down on the bottom of the screen) and it change to "continue" for the other way to leave the "pause". Last methode to get the pause is hit F2 (pause and go direct to replay-screen, leave mode with "esc" or mouse) or hit F3 (go to option-menue, leave with mouse or "esc"). In some situations you can hit the green button to leave the "pause"-mode too.

Test a bit around. GPL is full of some sort of action.
