[dangermouse]

Here's a nice track that in it's 2.1 version did not have an installer but now has been fitted with the standard installer. A real pleasure track.

  What do you mean? All the files are there and it installed ok for me.

he's right DM....jus downloaded it from the link and it won't install ....and i'm not the only one who's having this prob.... whenever i run the TrackInstall. exe keep getting " this program has encountered a problem and will be shut down blah blah blah" error message......have tried running the Lemasv2.1.exe from the zip and extracting to a folder and running from there and get same result ......any ideas?

IIRC I had the same problem, so I think I did a manual install. Make a folder in Sierra/gpl/tracks called lemas. Then copy all files into the folder along with Steffen W's update. Then rename the dat file lemas. Also, here is the season.ini info that I use.

You may also need to make a lemas folder for set-ups in Sierra/gpl/players/'your player name'/setups.

It installed alright for me but when I went to try to use the track it just locks the computer and I have to do a restart. 5 times I've tried to run this track.

I don't what it is about this track - it must have a jinx. For some reason it won't work or install on some computers. I'll have another look at this this week.

There is still a problem with either the archiving/compression or the trackinstall.exe for this track. Whenever the trackinstall.exe is run, it crashes immediately. I would suggest unpacking the files and doing a manual installation as other posters have described above.

The problem is the trackinstall.exe (maybe a wrong or too old version).

Simply overwrite it with the one in the attached zip file.
It works for me

Having the same problem with Le Mas  here too...tried the manual install...no go......tried the Track Installer from lucapan  and still no joy......has Dangermouse , or anyone else , managed to find a fix for this yet?   the league I`m in is running it later  and I`d hate to miss out ...besides I don`t score points for a non-attendance   ^..^

Using Widows XP home  and D3D....no problems with any other tacks...just this one.

No need for a fix. Make sure that the .dat has the same spelling like the season.ini. (Although I have to admit that it is some time ago that I myself struggled about that. Cost me some hours...).

Please give it a try. If it does not work for you I can zip my trackfolder for you and pm you.

Tried the install on my system in a Test GPL Folder to see if I get any problems during the process.



The track works no probs during the installation process  



1. downloaded the Files Dangermouse had posted. Extracted the files from the .exe file in a separat folder.
2. downloaded the trackinstaller from lucapan. Displaced the TrackInstall.exe in the folder with the extracted files with the new TrackInstall.exe from lucapan.
3. run TrackInstall.exe
4. started GPL and the checked if the track will load.   ....   Success! Track is working






Sorry cant't help with other tips
