Just a couple of quick questions.

Do you need the original "day" versions of all the tracks installed first or are these completely stand alone new tracks?

Also I already have the 67 night cars from the previous release. Would it be best just to remove these from my GPL install before running the mod installation?

Also I have the Monaco night track from the previous release. I presume I will be able to manually add this to the nitetrack.ini pending release of the papy tracks in the future.

These are stand alone tracks, Once the papy tracks are released, You need the original tracks to make the installer working, but they are stand alone tracks too.

I think it´s better to remove the old nightcar folders. You can be sure to have the newest version then.

Looks great, but i gotta problem !

I can only get 1 and a half tracks out of it, ctd at Belle Isle,

It appears to extract ok, but, upon installation, i get an i/o error, (corrupt installation file)

I must have downloaded this mod a dozen times, but i get the same thing everytime, and as far as i can tell at the same point during installation ??

I have all the required bits and pieces, so ???

I'm i just getting really unlucky with my download connections, or has anyone else had this problem ??

[Edit] just tried again, but I/O error at different point during installation !
hmmm, starting to get paranoid now, (i was a couple of weeks late paying my phone bill, maybe this is BT's way of getting their own back !?!)

Strange..... it does seem like you've been unlucky.

Did you clear out your cache before downloading again? Clear your temp files as well.

Thanks for the swift response "DM", (strange, suddenly got a craving for a curly whirly !  :) ) anyway....

I did what you suggested, ++ had a look at a few other bits and pieces, i.e, i remembered i'd replaced the Lotus 49 with the Fezza 308 (lovely car)

So maybe one or a combination of all those things did the trick  :D
Coz its now working a treat !

Had a blast round a couple of tracks. Driving Hockenhiem in the dark brought back memories of my many nights trolling up the M1 at 2 in the morning, just wish i'd  had a 60's racer  back then instead of a knackered old Tranny.

Thanks Again "DM" (i'm off to the all-night garage for some chocolate).

Thanks for the reply to my questions Tommy. All installed fine now.

Just thinking about orbit360's problems. It was maybe an obvious one having the Ferrari308 installed but I remember having problems with your original set of nite cars because I had the wrong Honda and wrong Ferrari GPLEA cars installed. It may be an idea to specify exactly which version of each GPLEA car is required for the mod to work.

        2002 onwards

EDIT: 2002 onwards with certainty. Don't know if earlier but should work. We haven't encountered any probs in the testing.

What I think he means is: This still leaves about 2 BRM's, 3 Ferraris, 2 Hondas and 2 Lotus.

I'm just backing up my GPL folder before trying an install (it takes a while).
I'm soooo excited, can't wait.  While I'm waiting thanks Tommi   .

I have a NART Ferrari in my full65 cars folder and the Lotus 43 in the 67cars folder.
Do I have to change these back to GPLEA original releases before installing this Mod?

Should be alright. If not, then revert to the Lotus 49 and re-run the installer (skipping the GEM - BAPOM pictures install, if you want).

I changed back to the Lotus 49 but the night mod will not install because of missing components!!!

I have the 65 mod installed, GPLEA cars for both 65 and 67 and I have GEM 2.3.52.  So what's missing? :(
