Running with the ai I have a hard time getting the low times but when in front I can blast
a 50:60's still with my Mazda; in a pack well add 1 - 2 seconds as these guys don't like me.

Hey Quattro
You're too fast for me. I don't run much different racing or taking a few hotlaps, probably concentration. Fighting ai,about 52 to 53.5. Running free,I'm all over the place. My average 50's lap would be about 50.8. In general,I just seem to run 50.8 to 51.2. I'm most likely pushing 1000 laps,so I don't see any big gains forthcoming,but...I was going to say I was pretty consistent, but the laptimes don't prove that out. Ok,I can keep it on the track!
I see the track ini's been downloaded a few times, anybody else?
Looking for fast

4am this morning my time I decided to really challenge this course so loaded up a full mixed field and Tail end Charlie start this one. Being patient didn't help to much as the Saubers started to break away early and it took a lap before the thick pack in front of me started to thin out. Now to wait for a straight away for a clean pass of a couple cars; well another 8 or so laps before I get some cleaning sailing before this point I'm running high 54 range now I get down into 51 range and catching and passing some Jags (something watching me all over the Jags in the esses with heavy tire chatter) and then
some battered Toys & one Sauber. But after 2 mild mix ups myself I couldn't get any higher then 6th place as my tires were cooking mainly outside lefts. Final outcome here was 10th place after 3 laps trying to unlap myself and this damn Sauber was getting pranged as I don't know how many shots from behind I was taking.
All I can say is if you've not tried this course yet...Try it as it'll give you a decent workout.

I don't have problems with tire wear. The right front shows a little more than the others. Right front is usually 5/8 to the good, the rest just above 3/4's. In the race results I sent you,I was spun a couple of times, and had to retake ai I had already got by. I was pushing it pretty hard, the right front ended up at 5/8's to the good but was yellow!,it's normally green. Still, the only place I notice it is the hairpin, have to slow down more judiciously, using less trailbrake into the turn.
I'll send you my latest setup. Hopefully there's some correlation between makes as far as general balance ratios. My base setup came from a Riverside1970 setup, adjusted gear ratio, went from there.
As I've heard somewhere,"Keep digging"

I took up the Mazda as the majority took the Sauber for its speed but I'll out do any in the turns once I was dialed in then it's gear ratios & final drives but the reason my tires go is because I run higher tire pressure for that extra mph top end.Ok another secret time .. I run tall gear ratios except for top gear which I run shorter then normal so towards the end of any straight I run neck & neck with the hottest Sauber or even ahead of. So if I enjoy a certain track or course I put alot of time into it to be such a force. All the other cars are foreign to me now as I'm diehard Mazda in GTP land and besides I think the best looking paints are on the Mazda.

hey all
I ran a 87 lap race (24 ai) to make sure the ai pitted ok. They did, laps 61-72. I pitted on 73,came in just short of 'out of fuel'.
I started from the back, beat the last 2 cars to T1,passed a few more before the hairpin, and ended up in front of 3 exiting hairpin. Not bad,
they usually all re-pass me at the hairpin. I stayed on the concrete pad anytime they were beside or behind (running in their normal
line). I was only hit 3 times the entire race. First time,I was in second in front of 2 cars, in 8th, on lap 22 ,after being rammed ,I was in 16th .
Worked my way back up and through and by lap 61 I took 1st as the leader pitted. On lap 72,my RF tire was about half gone and yellow as I
locked it up at the hairpin, losing about 3.5 seconds. I should have pitted but I squeezed 1 more lap, only to be rammed again (I was pretty
slowed down due to the tire). I came out of pit sequence in second, only to be rammed by the 3rd place car on lap 75,only lost 7 seconds,
and 2nd place. I thought I was destined for 3rd, but the 2nd place car re-pitted with a stop/go. Finished 16 seconds behind 1st. There may be
hope yet! Fast lap_50.292. 44 laps in the 50's. First lap 53.5,only four laps in 52's.
Feelin' pleased with myself

Fortine_oo > should I be posting this in another forum? No here is ok as you're also giving input on this course by sharing how you're progressing with the ai.
Thanks again guys for the recent update.

Thanks for the reply Quattro.
Just a general question.
How come in replays,my car pits where it normally does, but my pit crew services a phantom car near the start/finish line ?

Hi Fortine_oo You ask "How come in replays,my car pits where it normally does, but my pit crew services a phantom car near the start/finish line ?" I'm not sure about that but during the race when you actually pit how & where are you crew? Where they belong I'll give it a go later this evening with a more recent update. My times are back in the 50 range as I forgot I last raced with a full fuel load .

Hey Quattro,
Thanks for responding. Everything works fine during the race, but in the replay,I'm sitting in my car watching the crew go to work down the road.
I'll pm a pic.
Thanks

Hi Fortine_oo; it just dawned on me with your pit crew acting up on you! Really can't remember which track I was on but in the pits in car view when I looked in my mirror my pit guy was fueling your phantom car I'm not sure but I think it was "N" button I pressed.

In GTP my pit crew even in replay are where they belong Fortine_oo. Just finished blasting around for some 50 odd laps and corked -50 sec laps 4 times on light load.
Hey Kurt what you mentioned in the pm is Kwel. I even tried pushing through the last turn onto the front straight with the wide run off in 5th but didn't work as out into the green field .
I can see I'll be using this course with the trucks too! Think it'll suit them well.
Cheers Quattro
