Financial Support Critically Needed

if that's not bad enough the boss is looking at closing down where Bill works.
that means no income for the man that hosts these places we all know, love and USE on a daily basis.
your financial assistance NOW means these web sites continue uninterrupted.
we've got about 2 weeks to float his boat - failing that he's not sure what will happen.
https://srmz.racesimcentral.nethttps://racesimcentral.net/donate/
no specific amount - whatever you can - but if we ALL gave just $1 he'd be set for a year....
as we know, not ALL can so PLEASE if you want to see these places continue - show your support!

You know something, I've been totally ignorant sometimes on donating. I kind of take it for granted that SRMZ and the related sites will go on forever. So much so that I haven't donated for ages 😠 So I'm truly embarrassed.
So I've just donated and I will gladly try to do it ( if poss) a little more in the future.
Come on everybody. Let's rally behind Bill and rally to Bo's call. If you can donate, it would be absolutely fantastic.

As Twinpotter said, we often take for granted that SRMZ (and the Repository) will be here forever. It won't without our financial support. Now is the time to help out Bill when he most needs it.
Communication is key to ensure that GPL survives. Without SRMZ, GPL won't.

Would it be prudent to do full backups of the sites mentioned so if the worst happens we can club together for new servers/domain etc, etc.
I'm probably just panicking, but losing our amazing sites would be a terrible thing.
So many great sites have gone in the past without any archives etc.
But im hoping we are all under control re the data safety etc.

I bought the game in 1998 for about £10. Turned out to be the best £10 I ever spent and has provided me with a fantastic hobby for all this time. It doesn't matter if it's rain or shine outside and I can race online and offline on hundreds of tracks with dozens of cars 24hrs a day if I wanted to, thanks to sites like this.
Compare this to golf. £901 per year (average annual fee in UK), plus green fees, clubs and clothing. Then there's travel to get there and you can only play when it's not too wet and you can't do it in the dark. I'm not a golfer, but I had I been paying that sort of money for the past 22 years on my hobby, then I would have spent over £20k. I have nothing against golf or golfers, I'm just making a point.
Please, please, please help support Bill.

And sorry, but everyone that has read this topic shld at least contribute with some money. Are some of us such poor that we can't give 1 USD or 1 € ??? ( whatever part of the world we are living, I doubt we come from Rio de Janeiro favelas, or Bengladesh ) Compared with the time spent and pleasure we have when coming here, not contributing as no sense
usually, people interested in everything around motor racing doesn't come forcibly from the lower classes

I can hardly afford to put fuel in my road car. I certainly can't afford to attend a motor race as a spectator. With GPL I can drive a Lotus 49 round the Nurburgring. That's got to be worth at least $1
