Hi

I have a problem with my AI being all over the place. Even though I have set 1.01 in GEM for every mod.

Some mods AI is fast for example 65, original67 and 69. And polesitter AI beats me 2 seconds per lap

But in mods F2, 68 and sportscars I beat 2nd place AI 1 second per lap

Why is that if AI is set to 1.01 in all of those mods? And the discrepancy is 3 seconds between those mods.

Furthermore. I would like to tweak AI that the polesitter AI drives negative laptime. But just negative benchmark time no faster that that. So in order for me to win I have to go negative

How do I achieve that polestiier AI drives negative over all the mods, not just some.

Thank you

Also, where can I find list of negative laptimes

I am afraid you have to fine tune the values for every mod on every track to achieve that.
There is not an uniform set of LP files but every track has its own and they are the ones that rule AI files.
Just Fast Forward a race and check the time of the pole, then adjust the AI values (dlong_speed_adj_coeff in track.ini) until you get what you like.
[ GP ]
dlong_speed_adj_coeff = 1.0000           ; value modifies dlong velocities (i.e. RELS) in .LP
dlong_speed_maximum = 1.9500             ; max. dlong speed (meters/tick) for .LP after all modifiers (e.g., dlong_speed_adj_coeff)

GPL Rank is what you need for a list of times:

I wrote a spreadsheet to get around exactly this problem... you still have to tweak individual track.ini files though to get it right:

i have a  doc(txt) in every track file with the AI setting  of all the mods i use , its a fact that by default the 65 mod are way too fast but for the F2 and 68 mods, now on most track i run with 1.0

Unfortunately I am not able to adjust dlong_speed_adj_coef because GEM+2 always reverts it back to its original value and create pregem ini file where my modification is stored but it is not used in race

Can you help me?

Thank you

Look further down the track.ini file - there is often a section called Default and you have to change the number in both places.

Actually now I changed it again and changed properties of the file to be read only and it worked!
