Hi all.

I've recently been doing some laps at Brands Hatch (directory name "Brands67"), and I noticed that on the long straight between South Bank Bend and Hawthorn Bend, I could see some scenery flickering and pop-ups in the distance, in the area around Hawthorn Bend. I've adjusted the look-ahead values of the sectors along the straight, and this seems to have fixed the problem.

Simply unzip the .3DO file from the attachment, drop it into your "Brands67" track directory, and it should make the scenery look a bit nicer.

Update: gliebzeit (Greg) has also done an update for Brands67 back in Jan 2019 which I missed. My update is simpler (just a one-file drop-in), but his includes other goodies such as alternative textures, camera files etc. If you feel Brands67 needs a more comprehensive makeover, check out his post here:

Unfortunately I think it's very unlikely that it would work. If Brands68 was just a simple retexturing of Brands67, then it might have been possible. But I've just done a binary comparison between Brands67.3DO and Brands68.3DO and they look completely different, so I think there are too many changes between the tracks.

However, I am very interested in the recently-released '68 F1 mod, and so I will probably be doing quite a few laps around Brands '68 for the 1968 F1 Custom Rank on Jani's Groundhog website. If I see any popups there I might be able to find time to see if I can fix them.
