Do I need Brands or Brands67 for my Historic Rank Season File? Somehow I've messed up all of my Season Files and I need to spend time rebuilding them. So frustrating.

EDIT: Sorry... typing late at night is never a good thing. I meant the Challenge Rank.

Er, Brands Hatch isn't in the GPLRank Historic rank. Which mod are you talking about? And are you talking about a GPLRank or a rank on Jani's Groundhog site? I have most of the ranks set up. If you don't want the hassle of going through the GEM season editor, just let me know clearly which ranks you need and I can zip them up for you. Some ranks have very similar names.

Edit: If you're talking about the 1967 F1 Historical mod rank on Groundhog, including the non-points races, it's "Brands Hatch 1967" (directory name "Brands67") that you need. Brands67 is used for 99% of the ranks where Brands Hatch is included, except the GPLRank challenge rank, which uses the older Brands.

Hi Saiph,

Thanks for clearing that up. My GPL installation is in a bit of a mess after 10 years of neglect and abuse. I'm working my way through it doing some spring-cleaning as I go. I'm having to re-learn where and how everything is saved.

Somehow, over the years, all sorts of tracks have crept into my various Season files. This morning I have created new ones to use with the ranks. So far I have created:

• Rank-67-
  
• Rank-CHA
  
• Rank-HIS
  
• Rank-MUN
  
• Rank-65a
  
• Rank-65b

These are all tracks listed in the GPL Rank (original one) as I've not yet ventured over to the Groundhog site.

I'm creating the season files using the season manager feature in Gem+ but it's slow going when I need to add an original Papy track as they are not all appearing in the list of tracks available (window on left-hand side). No sign of Zandvort, Monza, Monaco or Rouen. This all seems strange to me. I have updated SGEM as GEM was telling me that my list was 1076 days old. Do you have any idea as to what I may be doing wrong?

I thought that rebuilding these season files would have taken me half-an-hour but I've now spent all morning on it. Thanks in advance.

Pete,
extract this new SGEM.ini in yours C:\Users\Public\Documents\GEM+ folder.

Then in your Season Manager choose Sort by Track Directory
and check List All Tracks in SGEM.ini in lower left area

If you are missing a track, you just double click on its name in the season manager and the link to download it will appear.

Your'e a star. That sorted it perfectly. This will help with rebuilding my season files. Thanks ever so much. I seem to spend more time sorting my GPL folder out than I do driving the cars at the minute.
