I was getting SQL errors all day. This is one of the few sites I still check nearly every day, I'm too old for shocks like that (RSC ...Blackhole ...Nogrip ...).

Me too...
Not nice to lose on of lifes pleasures..even for just one day.

Was same here,
in the .net big brothers are fighting a lot atm. So it's slow everywhere and lots of doors have to be closed..
Imagine some billion people are tracked now constantly in the net by apple, android and huawei...

Many of the slowdowns are from so many people staying home and being online much of the time. In a couple of games we've had many people going to vacation mode for a while due to connection issues.
But otherwise it seems 90% of the sites out there deem it their unalienable right to grab every bit of personal data they can from you and track every move you make online. Hence the proliferation of adblockers, script blockers, tracker blockers, and VPNs. Many sites, particularly .gov sites, now block access from VPNs. I now use Brave browser, a VPN, and occasionally TOR; not that I've anything to hide but whatever i do have is no ones' business. And I've transferred all my mail to Tutanota and Proton accounts (yahoo's TOS readily admits they datamine your mail and share the results with numerous third parties, as does gmail).
After ten years I gave Farcebook the finger when they disabled my page and demanded I give them not just a phone number but a mobile number; given their stated "privacy" policy (that anything anyone posts becomes the property of Farcebook to use as they please) I told them I'd sooner spray paint my number on a downtown sidewalk, fewer people would see it. Now they demand everyone send them a copy of a photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) or they will disable your page. What's next? Fingerprints? DNA samples? all for a stupid Farcebook page. And despite demanding all this from us you will note that Farcebook does not have a Farcebook page, Farcebook does not have a website, Farcebook does not post any email or telephone contact information.

Ah, the site has returned from the land of http error 500. A month ago it was sql errors ...should we be concerned? (Hopefully the entire site is securely backed up.)
(I was told I should back up my hard drive, but I couldn't find reverse.)
