Am I correct in assuming that before you can load P&G, I must first load GTR2? A friend gave me a new unopened 3 disc set for GTR2. After I have loaded disc 3, I get a message as follows:

Wrong disc inserted. Insert original "GTR2 GTR2 final EXE" CD. I do not have a disc with that title. Can someone help me with this problem?

You must have a full install of GTR2;  then, if you select to create a new install for P&G (the preferred method), it takes what it needs from that folder and creates a separate P&G folder (the other option installs P&G as a mod to the existing GTR2 install, due to the many files involved this can become confusing if not occasionally problematic, especially when you start adding other mods).

Your GTR2 install is probably asking for disc one to be in the drive for a CD check (working from memory here, it's been ages since i installed GTR2, I just copied it from computer to computer over the years).

JGF, you are gentleman and a scholar!  The sim wanted CD1 inserted. I thought I tried all 3 CDs but I guess I didn't. I am getting the sim set up now and looking forward to some fun racing. I have been racing GPL for years, so this will be a little variety. Also, thanks for the information about P&G. Will probably try that when I am comfortable with GTR2.

Stay well.

Once you're settled in with GTR2, I highly recommend this mod if you are racing offline - https://www.racedepa...tutorial.23792/

makes a world of difference to AI performance and consistency
